BT Converse Amplified Telephones (Ravelston EH4)

These have been in storage for some time and are a bit dusty, but were working fine when they were put away.

They are amplified from the BT phone socket so do not need to be plugged into the mains, and they have plenty of amplification if you are in a noisy environment or are hard of hearing. Will also work with Virgin Media/Telewest phone lines etc. if you have another supplier for your telephone line. All you need is the standard BT socket(s)

The converse 220 is newer than the 200, but doesn't have such a sharp clear sound as the older model.

They have similar functions for storing numbers, redial etc.

You have to press the "Amplify" button to make the amplifier and volume control work. Otherwise it operates like a normal phone.

The secrecy button cuts out the microphone in the handset so the other end can't hear what you are saying.

The Monitor button makes the phone operate like a speakerphone, where you still need to speak into the handset.

You can also plug a headset (not included) into the Converse 220 and use that instead of the handset.

You can download the User Guide for the 220 here: https://www.britishtelephones.com/useguide/bt_telephones/converse_220_ug.pdf

If you would like these, please give a phone number to arrange collection at a mutually convenient time wehn you reply.
