Looks like a small radio with earbuds but when turned on it amplifies any sound around it. Has a volume control. Pen in photo just for scale. I guess it is like an alternative to a hearing aid. WARNING: I have normal hearing and sounds were very loud even at lowest volume! It amplifies even the sound of a finger touching the device. But may be useful for someone with poor hearing.
