Fabric scraps & offcuts (Mulbarton NR14)

I’m trying to teach myself to use a manual 19th sewing machine - frightened off electricity you see(!) - and need to practice using it with random material. Medium term goal is to restore an old ercol chair frame. Have done bits of sanding the wood and varnishing and would like to sew my own replacement covers.
