Umbrella Stand (Marin)

Nice solid base but I'm unable to tighten the base nut or the side knob due to rust. I've tried "liquid wrench" and, as you may notice, some light tapping . . . to no avail. Would you like to give it a try? (I finally purchased a new one because I was weary of the leaning umbrella.)
