DrayTek Vigor 2620Ln. This is a VDSL/ADSL and LTE (3g & 4g) multi-WAN router offering flexibility for internet connectivity and redundancy. There is a 2 SIM slot and the router can use one SIM at a time with the other as a failover. One of the two Ethernet sockets can also be used as a WAN port for use with services like FTTP, or connecting to a VirginMedia SuperHub.
All this connectivity can help maintain reliable internet access where the fixed line is prone to outages as the router will automatically switch to the LTE connection and back again when the fixed line service is restored. I used this router with a VDSL connection with a Three SIM as the failover, however you can use this router with LTE only if you have no fixed line connections.
This router also features VPN software and can be configured to respond to SMS messages requesting its status.
The configuration interface is quite advanced so I would not recommend this to anyone who's networking experience is limited to plugging in an ISP supplied router.
The latest firmware is installed: 13/05/2025
