Free: Philips Hue Bathroom (Edinburgh EH8) This is a Philips Hue Bathroom Light fitting which requires a Philips Hue Bridge. If you do not have a Philips Hue system then this light will not work. If you are interested please confirm that you have a Philips Hue lighting system and we can arrange pickup. The light has been unpaired from my Hue system. The fitting is 36cm in diameter and you will need your own mounting screws and raw plugs. Connector blocks are integral for attaching to your wiring.

Free: libvirt Activated Windows 11 Pro VM (Edinburgh EH8) If you don't know what libvirt is, don't understand the Linux command #virsh define vm.xml, or are looking for a free copy of Windows 11 to run on your PC then this is definitely not useful for you. If you got through the above then here is an offer of an activated Windows 11 Pro virtual machine for use in libvirt on Linux. The Windows 11 Pro licence is specific to the virtual machine and cannot be transferred to a PC or other virtualisation solution. I can supply the VM as a downloadable tar.gz file including: • a virtual machine definition XML file • a 17GB (64GB allocated) Qcow2 image with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled with virtio drivers and ready for setup through Out-Of-Box-Environment (OOBE) • an NVRAM VARS image If there's anyone who has a use case for this please let me know and I will be delighted to offer the download.

Free: Apple iMac Memory (2019 & 2020) (Edinburgh EH8) Gifted Here are two memory modules taken from a new Mac mini 2018 that I upgraded; so these are the modules supplied by Apple. These memory modules are also supplied with iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) and iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2020). Both of these iMac's have 4 memory slots accessible from a hatch on the rear, and base models are supplied with 2 of these slots occupied so installing these in the empty slots could double the memory. To find out if you have free memory slots on your iMac got to the Apple menu > About This Mac , click the More Info... button and where you see the memory amount click the circled 'i' . If you have two empty memory slots you can install these modules to add an additional 8GB. Unfortunately you cannot use these to upgrade a Mac mini 2018 as they only have 2 occupied slots with 8GB being the minimum supplied.

Free: DrayTek VDSL/ADSL +LTE Modem/Router (Edinburgh EH8) Gifted DrayTek Vigor 2620Ln. This is a VDSL/ADSL and LTE (3g & 4g) multi-WAN router offering flexibility for internet connectivity and redundancy. There is a 2 SIM slot and the router can use one SIM at a time with the other as a failover. One of the two Ethernet sockets can also be used as a WAN port for use with services like FTTP, or connecting to a VirginMedia SuperHub. All this connectivity can help maintain reliable internet access where the fixed line is prone to outages as the router will automatically switch to the LTE connection and back again when the fixed line service is restored. I used this router with a VDSL connection with a Three SIM as the failover, however you can use this router with LTE only if you have no fixed line connections. This router also features VPN software and can be configured to respond to SMS messages requesting its status. The configuration interface is quite advanced so I would not recommend this to anyone who's networking experience is limited to plugging in an ISP supplied router. Free: DrayTek VDSL/ADSL Bridge (Edinburgh EH8) Expired This is a DrayTek Vigor 130 VDSL/ADSL Modem. This UK specific version has no routing capabilities and is designed to work with a router through PPPoA/PPPoE, or to connect a single computer directly to an ISP with the included Ethernet cable. Suitable Uses: • Connect a non VDSL/ADSL router to a phone socket and make use of your routers features directly for example: Apple AirPort routers or mesh wi-fi systems. • Connect a single computer to a telephone socket where no other devices require internet access for example: a remote site security camera monitoring system. • Connect a server computer to the internet to act as a gateway via additional Ethernet Ports and / or switches. Not Suitable: This bridge cannot replace an ISP supplied modem/router on its own. Included is a cable that can connect to a filtered BT faceplate. The firmware is at its latest version which was released in 03/03/2023 .
