Perennials:
*hosta--with medium-sized light green gently pointed oblong leaves. Likes full to partial shade. *garden phlox: thigh-high old-fashioned, blooms white or shades of pink. All you want. Likes sun.
*feverfew--perennial with small daisy-like blooms and bright green lacey leaves.
*daylilies: smaller height and blooms than "tiger lilies." Yellow or orange. Likes sun.
*wooly mint--knee high, has dark green leaves with furry texture.
 *garlic chives. Chinese native used in cooking.
Ground covers:
    *Gold moss stonecrop (sedum sarmentosum) low-crowing, dry tolerant--good for rock gardens.
    *Bishops weed--dark green foliage in shade, variegated in sun. 6 to 8" tall. For slopes, around trees.
