Split-Rail_Fencing is a type of fence made out of timber logs, usually split lengthwise into rails. It is typically used for agricultural or decorative fencing.

Back in the 1960s my father bought approx. 20 Split Rails from a farmer and used it as a fence around his suburban backyard. Everyone commented on how nice it was. However in the 1980's they had to be removed when the surrounding neighbors wanted to put in metal fences.
Anyways I have three rails left for give-away. Each one is approx. 11.5 ft long. See pictures.
It's not enough to fence in a backyard, but it can be used for a small garden. I've seen some people do this.
