Compost tumbler -- 80 gallons (Hillcrest SE DC)

Excellent, durable, easy-to-use compost tumbler. 80 gallons capacity -- it's huuuuuuuuuge! (Even the large orange turd could fit inside -- I did the calculations.) This tumbler rotates, so you can toss the compost around while it decomposes and ripens and what-not. On the side it also has a spring-loaded pull-pin, so you can hard-set the bin in various positions -- for loading, dumping out, etc. The top is secured by clamps when you want to keep it closed, and easily slides off when you want to dump everything out. You can see that there is some rust, but nothing impacting the stability or performance. This unit is really stable and does not move or slide around. Maybe if you have a lot of material inside and you go all crazy spinny on it like you're having a go at the big wheel on The Price is Right, yeah, it's going to wobble a bit. But otherwise it should be fine. I've used this tumbler for years and gotten lots of good compost out of it. I just don't need it anymore because my yard is healthy enough, and I have another option for compost now. But if you have a big yard with space to spare for this thing's footprint, or maybe you want to use it with your neighbors in a community garden, it might be for you. Dimensions: 36" deep 40" wide 48" high. This is a Lifetime tumbler that they don't sell anymore (their biggest is now a 50-gallon version) but you can find a great review of it at this website: https://homegrownfun.com/review-lifetime-compost-tumbler/ . Note: I am *NOT* going to disassemble this beast, so measure your hatchback's space to see if it'll fit, or bring a pick-up truck. Pick-up can be anytime. Oh -- and I *DID* clean it inside and out with soap and water. It's very clean but not totally clean -- there are still some tiny bits of old compost stuck in the innermost crevices inside the drum. But it doesn't smell and they're not falling out. But geez, you're getting a compost tumbler, so you shouldn't be afraid of a little dirt anyway! :D
