smallish gas canisters (Hillfields BS16)

2 gas canisters, very similar (but not identical!).

1 is full, says 'Butane/Propane' and 'CV 470 PLUS 450g'. It is very slightly shorter than the other one, but they both seem to be the same rough diametre.

The other feels about a third or a half full, says 'Type D4 - BS 0044 Net 460g' and 'butane propane mix'. There is no plastic cap because it has been opened at some point, and there seems to be a thread near the opening, which implies it screws into place.

I imagine that anyone who has a device/stove that fit these would recognise the type straight away.
