I've tested it today and it will do straight stitches and zig zag fairly happily, but stitch length adjustor is a bit unreliable, so it's best to keep it at three or above and avoid the fancier stitch options/buttonhole options. Has had some attention from a professional a couple of years ago after I sewed too much denim and something shifted inside, but not economic for full repair/refurb. So it's really a starter machine to have a play with, or take to bits and investigate if you're mechanically and electrically minded. Comes with instruction manual, a few spare feet and a soft vinyl cover.
