These weird looking objects are for holding home-made flower baskets. The shadows in the pictures don't help!
The upside down one, comes apart so you can move the triangular base and then put the basket on top. The other one is for wall hanging and also comes apart for ease of hanging and basket preparation. You make the hanging basket from appropriate material and fill with compost. The advantage over conventional baskets is that you can poke holes through the sides and underneath to push the roots of plants through to increase the overall effect of the planting. Very effective if done properly.
