Hello Neighbours.
I realise that it is still November, but Christmas is on its way!
Some of you kindly donated new children's toys last year to The William Hobbayne Charity. It's a local body dedicated to the relief of need and hardship in Hanwell and Ealing - see https://www.williamhobbaynecharity.co.uk/ for more information.
As a result of your contribution and many others in the area, they were able last year to ensure that about 350 local children whose families are struggling with the cost of living received a Christmas gift, which they might not otherwise have done.
The Charity supports organisations and individuals with grants of money and with practical help, as we have been doing since 1484. They also run a small community centre and local community green spaces.
They are repeating the Christmas Gift Appeal this year. It helps to make Christmas one to remember for local children and young adults. Please see the flyer attached. If you can donate a new and unwrapped toy or gift (for older children or young people) by 9 December, they will make sure it brightens up the holiday period for a young person in need.
You can drop your contribution in to Doyles Estate Agents in Hanwell
Alongside this, they also host a Christmas Lunch on 25 December for young care leavers at our Community Centre and some of the gifts go towards this.
I hope you can help. Thanks for your kind attention.
Have a good evening
Best wishes
Bertie Wooster
PS The Hobbayne Charity also supports my PC/laptop recycling project
