Two settings - bright and very bright - so ideal if natural light is poor. Mains powered. Switch is near the bulb. Flexible head. About 50 inches tall. I would keep it but I have one already. I find mine is handy for doing jigsaws during the gloomy afternoons that we get at this time of year.
