Two old but untouched oil filters (Park-Monroe Neighborhood)

Not sure if these are still good (full disclosure: they are, gulp, 12 years old…) - they’ve simply been sitting in our basement, in the original packaging (even still have the plastic wrap around the rubber gasket). Google says these things have a shelf life of around 5-6 years, but these seem fine (and I have a hard time throwing out stuff that looks perfectly good). If anyone can even just tell me, authoritatively, to chuck ‘em - I’d be grateful. Thanks!
