I’m giving it away because it’s hardly been used for a few years. It’s a bit dated now but runs well with Linux.
The battery is dead, a new one is around £30 but it runs very well via the AC adapter. The dead battery is still attached so it can be used for reference if ordering a replacement.
It has 2GB RAM and a 240 GB SSD. As far as I’m aware everything except the battery is working perfectly.
If you want to look up the detailed specs then it’s Lenovo T400, type 2765-8JG.
It currently has Linux Mint installed, this includes LibreOffice which roughly equivalent to Microsoft Office.
I also temporarily installed Windows 8.1 Pro and that appeared to be OK (it originally had Windows 7 but I no longer have the installation disk for that). It is not compatible with Windows 11 and may not work well with Windows 10. All my data has been completely removed.
I would like this to go to a good home and will wait a few days before promising it so please say why you want it.
