These things are quite expensive to buy, and I need it only briefly – to find out if carbon monoxide is actually leaking into my car, as my mechanic warns might happen.
My ancient (1994) vehicle needs major muffler repair, but the parts are no longer available. I'm continuing to drive it, because can't afford to replace it ... would like to know just how much I need to worry, though!
If you own such a thing, I'd really appreciate your help. You needn't even part company with it – just turn it on, and come for a short test drive in my (possibly dangerous) old beater. Now there's an unbeatable offer!
(Note: apparently household detectors aren't sensitive enough for this kind of task – it has to be one rated for vehicles.)
