size 8.5 ladies shoes, need fixing (Britannia)

I've had these things tucked away in a closet for so long, I forgot I had them.

They *were* really nice shoes – but I only ever wore them on special occasions (of which there are too few in my life). Eventually, the elastic strips over the top of the foot perished.

I kept meaning to try to repair them ... but realized they no longer fit me!

Can you offer them a second lease on life?
