I just replaced parts of my fence, so have:
1. Lots of new, small, short pieces of cedar boards (1 by 4s, smooth), and many long (4-10 feet) 1 by 1's that we made while ripping boards to size for our new fence
2. Lots of new, short pieces of 4 by 4 cedar posts (mostly a few feet long) - also smooth
3. Old stuff - a few 4 by 4 posts that we took out - were pressure treated pine presumably, as well as a few old fence boards, and a couple 2 by 4s from the old fence. I have attempted to take out all of the nails and screws.
4. Old stuff - one 6 by 6 post, still in pretty good condition
5. A few other assorted pieces of wood that I will be putting out there from my random collection of wood scraps that is getting too big
