Extending Oak Dining Table (Duddingston EH15)

This table has had a life. We found it on a free site 11 years or so go. Unextended, the wood has a nice grain and polishes up reasonably, despite a fair amount of wear and tear marks. The legs also have some marks and scuffs. The original mouldings have been removed from the sides, as the table had to be trimmed. The edges were then stained to blend with the surface.

The table has two extensions, which are darker, have a number of marks and cuts (see photo). There is a winder to wind out the table and insert one or both extension leaves. The winding has to be done very carefully for the table to be secure. Nonetheless we have had many happy times using the fully extended table.
The table is on wheels.

NB The chairs are not available.

Maybe a good restoration Project?

The table is now in our garage and a vehicle can be parked directly in front of the garage.
