Vektra 1.5litre vacuum kettle, working but lid is broken (Oxford OX2)

Vektra series 1 kettle 1.5l which still works really well though nearly 5 years old. It has vacuum walls so if you boil too much water it stays hot for quite a while. The lid seals into position for boiling.

BUT the bit of the lid that allows pouring through the spout is broken, so you have to remove the whole lid to pour (and the replacement lids on the Vektra website are very slightly different so don't work for us).

Anyone out there either happy to live with the riskiness of taking the lid off whenever you want to pour or - massive longshot 🤣 - have a broken Vektra kettle where the lid still works and want to combine the two?
