grandma's doll/clothes - 1940s (Leatherhead KT22)

My mother made a wooden bed, all the bedding clothing, a hat, a pillow etc for this little plastic doll in the 1940s. All items fit into this raffia lidded box.

She was born during the war in 1942 so probably would have made this out of leftover yarn and fabric. In the late 1940s. My grandmother was an expert sewer and made all the families and her own clothes so I suspect she taught my mother how to sew and knit!
