I have at least 15 used concrete "piers" of the sort that could be used as support for an outdoor deck. What I have are not all matching, but they are free. For most, there's ONLY concrete, meaning that there is no block of wood, or metal straps, to use for attaching to a wooden post. You'd have to improvise. Thus they are not super-useful if structural precision is required.
That said, they MIGHT be useful if you are filling a low spot and need something which won't wash away.
