Wooden trunk (Moreton Hall IP32)
Big, solid wooden trunk. Length 3 foot. Width 1 foot 5 inches. Height 1 foot 6 inches. Probably made early 20th Century. Belonged to my Grandfather, a Captain in the Merchant Navy ( gassed in WW1, sunk by torpedo in WW2 , but still retired to Portsmouth...) There are two splits- one in the base, and one in the top, but neither affects the structural integrity of the trunk.
