I grew this from a couple of date stones, it's been about 12 years. It's now about 9 feet high and 7 feet wide.

Heavy and awkward to move; I can help you get it down a wide staircase from the first floor.
I'm moving soon and can't really take it with me.
I think if you put it in the ground in a sunny spot you'd get a proper date palm, especially if the climate continues to warm up :S
