Vintage Maglite torch for repair, great piece of American manufacturing. Solid metal build.
I wanted to restore this myself, but I just can’t get the base off! It needs someone with a vice or two very good clamps. The tools I have available just can’t do it.
I think there are batteries inside which have corroded, and it’s corroded that bottom screw piece shut.
It would be a shame to scrap this, 20+ years ago it was my dads, it’s so well made. Working ones still sell quite well, so hopefully someone can enjoy the project and get it working again.
