Machine in good condition, with only one known problem. Has worked well for years. I discovered the issue after not using the machine for many months. This is a Singer 413 made in Scotland circa '71-'78. It was a cabinet mount but that's not available to gift. The machine, bobbins for it, numerous accessories including its original instruction book will all be provided.

The problem is that the shaft that drives the machine's lower operations (bobbin/related) is without its gear. Machines of this vintage used plastic gears that have been subject to poor aging, and in the case of this machine, that particular gear is altogether out of commission. It's not that expensive or complicated of a fix - I'm just not going to take it on. It's a solid machine, and the other gears look to be in great shape. It took me a while to find out what was going on, and I examined the machine in fairly close detail. Things are in surprisingly good shape for its age.

This can be a front porch pickup once arrangements are set.
