Mitsubishi audio cassette deck (Palo Alto)

Mitsubishi DT-10: front-loading stereo cassette deck
Released in 1978 with an original list price of $370. This is a large, rugged, heavy component for a 2-channel stereo system.
Please note: I connected it to my 2-channel system and it did not play.
I suspect that it needs new belts, but I did not open it up to spot the problem.
