New light fitting - with issues (Bromsgrove B61)

Brand new boxed light fitting, lovely amber glass dome (15cm) and a gold fitting.

Bought from amazon, however for the life of me I can’t get the fitting to hold the glass dome. The instructions show a different glass dome. I think possibly this one has been made wrong.

So someone else can have it to modify, or use the fitting parts for whatever they need.
