This is an old machine, at least 10 years. I have tested it and it still seems to work (gathers water at a reasonable rate). The plastic is yellowed with age. The water collection bucket was cracked at one point, so has been sealed with silicone and doesn't leak. The machine could also be raised up to connect a drain hose to the port in the back, e.g. to drain into a shower or sink.
As with all these compressor dehumidifiers, it is noisy when operating.
