Although this machine is capable of doing a lot of things (copying, printing, scanning and even sending and receiving faxes), I have for some time used it only as a scanner, at which it was fine. However, it now refuses to do anything unless I replace the ink cartridges, which I have no intention of doing as I have the use of a laser printer. Somebody more tech-savvy than me can probably find a way of getting round this problem or, of course, you could just buy some ink cartridges.
