Electrolux Z65/66 wet and dry vacuum cleaner (Nailsea BS21)
This is a powerful (1200W) machine which is designed for use either as a conventional dry vacuum cleaner, or for shampooing carpets. It recently celebrated its 30th birthday, but we have not used its wet function for a couple of decades. It comes complete with a full set of accessories for both wet and dry use (other than the long and bendy extension shown in the last photo, which we are keeping), as well as 11 new dust bags and the instruction manual. The only problem is with the head which is used for dry vacuuming floors; the mechanism that enables you to switch between the settings for carpets and hard floors is broken, so the metal face (used for contact with carpets) is the only one available for use. The retractable brushes for use on hard floors are permanently retracted. However, you can still clean hard floors successfully with it, but I wouldn’t advise its use on easily damaged floor surfaces. For that reason it was some time ago demoted to garage, workshop and car cleaning, at which it has done very well. It appears to have plenty of life left in it.

Canon Pixma 300 ink-jet printer/scanner/fax machine (Nailsea BS21)
Although this machine is capable of doing a lot of things (copying, printing, scanning and even sending and receiving faxes), I have for some time used it only as a scanner, at which it was fine. However, it now refuses to do anything unless I replace the ink cartridges, which I have no intention of doing as I have the use of a laser printer. Somebody more tech-savvy than me can probably find a way of getting round this problem or, of course, you could just buy some ink cartridges. Comes complete with instruction book and installation CD.

Hoping for re-housing, family of three ceramic pots, respectively 89, 77 and 54 cms in height and very heavy. These were intended for an indoor setting (an atrium) and would have allowed for trailing plants to be grown in small sub-pots placed in the openings. However, the firing was defective, so some of the glaze is flaking. Definitely not frost-proof.

Delsey hard-shell pull-along suitcase. Height 57cm, width 75cm, depth 22cm. Two wheels at one end, fold-out handle at the other. This was top of the range when we bought it in 1992 and has given good service for many years. It is made of very durable plastic. Although it has received many scuffs while in the tender care of baggage handlers it has survived intact. It has two keys and instructions for setting the combination lock.

Might be possible to fit them into a more modern van (see fourth picture for dimensions), otherwise they can be fixed to the wall of your garage or workshop to provide useful storage. They are sound, but have some superficial rust, so need repainting. Since the photos were taken they have acquired a bit more superficial rust, as they were stored under a tarpaulin which turned out to be leaky.

The upper surfaces have marks and stains which testify to their history, but the undersides are clean and sound, which is what counts. There are 8 in total, which is enough to cover an area of around 250 square feet, but have as many or as few as you wish.
