6-ft sq. woolen rug, striped (Petworth/ Park View)

I believe this rug is 100% wool, based on how it feels (no label and bought at a thrift store). It was and is free of stains and odors.

The rug is very thick and warm but it sheds A LOT with regular foot traffic. I recommend placement in a less-used area away from messy activities. It would work well as insulation from cold or sound under a large piece of furniture (bed, grand piano, sofa).

As pictured, cats love to claw at it, pulling out fuzz and even whole threads from the pile.

Spot cleaning is easy with cold water and mild soap/detergent. Do not steam clean, as hot water will cause wool to shrink and matt the fibers into felt. If the entire rug should need cleaning, check that the rug cleaner has the expertise for wool.
