Free: Garbage Disposal - Works (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) We just moved. I despise garbage disposals so I removed the one that had been installed. It works great. Free: 8 strips bamboo flooring (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) It's in perfect condition. We just moved into a new house. This was left over from a remodel by previous owner. It seems a shame to through it out. I thought I'd see if there wasn't someone who would use it. Please note: I will deliver! I live in the boonies so too much hassle to pick up.

Free: Old Photography Gear (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Both my husband and sister were amateur photographers. They had a dark room for their own development. I'm cleaning out the dark room entirely. This is what is left of the gear. Any takers?

Free: Radiator style space heaters (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted The small size. Oil filled. They work great but you want to be sparing in your use of them because they use a lot of ectricity.

Free: Weber Charcoal Grill and Chimney (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted This is an OLD grill - forty years old? The bottom levers, where the ash drains out, are stuck open. Otherwise, everything is in working order. Grill comes with a Swiss Chimney so you can light coals without lighter fluid.

Free: Fog Globe (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted In case you can't tell from the photo, this "fog globe" has a model of the golden gate bridge inside of it.

Free: Iron Filings (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted I have half a gallon of iron filings that I bought for fun. Iron filings is the black, coarse "powder" that is used at children's museums for exhibits with big magnets. Iron filings and magnets make for a lot of fun. The filings can stain clothing and carpet so if you want to set up a play/tactile experience using them, you will want to do so outside or in an area without carpeting. I would keep them, but I am moving and can't take anything that isn't absolutely necessary/

Free: 8' long, 2" diameter black bamboo (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted I have 8 to 10, eight foot long, one and a half to two inch in diameter poles of bamboo that I need to harvest - after black bamboo flowers, you have to take it out. Anybody have a hankering to use some super bamboo for a project?

Free: Oster "Golden A5" Clippers (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired Oster clippers. Lightly used, still function perfectly, made to last. Comes with one 4mm blade.

Free: New Swimsuit, size 40 (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted I tried this suit on once, intending to swim in it, but then took it off one or two minutes later after admitting it really was too small (I'm 5'6", 180lb?). Because I put it on once, I can't give it to a charity. But before I throw it out, I thought I'd offer to gift it on Trashnothing in case some woman with curves needs a suit and doesn't care that I put it on once. Suit was made by Illusions Swimwear.

Free: Rose: Fire King (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired I got this rose, bare root, from Heirloom Roses. It's a patio rose - good in pots, stays small. Flower is gorgeous orange red, but not much in the way of scent. This rose is susceptible to mildew - it has some on it right now. I only do easy care roses. If you are up for treating a rose for mildew, you can have this one. It's in a one gallon pot right now. I am deliberately not including a picture because I figured it was a better way to get someone who really wants a rose rather than people who want random plants.

Free: Audio Book: Gravity's Rainbow (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired I bought an audio copy of Thomas Pinchon's "Gravity's Rainbow" and downloaded it onto my phone. It's a famous book that I've been meaning to have a crack at for a while. I'm not taking to it. Would anyone else like to give it a try? I will need your email in order to transfer it to you.

Free: Paper Plates, Plastic Forks, etc (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted Paper plates, paper bowls, plastic cups, forks, spoons, knives, a couple disposable table cloths - every thing you need for a big family reunion picnic at the park. These are the very carefully stored collected remnants of dozens of parties so it's all mismatched, but also clean, dust free, etc...

Free: 25 Gallon Fresh Water Fish Tank (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted This post will be up until MAY 1st in order to give people opportunity to see post. This is hundreds of dollars worth of equipment - scoops, chemicals, filters, pump, fresh water driftwood, lava rocks, proper overhead lights - everything except gravel, plants, water and fish. If you want this tank and gear, please tell me why. Five days from now I will pick a name out of a hat. I'm hoping for someone who wants to set up a fresh water fish tank, but can't afford all the gear.

Free: Oster "Golden A5" Clippers (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired These clippers are thirty years old, but they haven't been used in decades, were only lightly used, still function perfectly and they were manufactured at a time when a lot of tools, Oster clippers definitely included, were made to last. There is one blade, 4mm, I believe, that comes with them. As I expect a lot of interest in these clippers, I will NOT gift them to first person who asks. I will wait a day or two, collect names, then draw one out of a hat.

Free: 1975 edition of Joy of Cooking (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired For a cook book, this book is in good shape. I have great sentimental attachment to this book because it's the book that I used to learn how to cook when I was ages six through twelve. This is the copy I bought for myself as a teen. I haven't cooked out of it in decades, so almost all of the pages are in good shape. The one that has a lot of "evidence of cooking" is the section on meatballs. But the binding on this book was made with the understanding that it was going to get a lot of hard use and was designed to last.

Free: Irises, poppies, pink geranium (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted I don't know what color the irises are. Odds are they will be purple, but I can't be sure. I divided up dozens of irises this winter, replanted most of it and potted up several of the tubers. Plants are healthy and should bloom marvelously next year (they should be planted in the ground, not kept in these pots). In some of the pots are volunteer poppy plants - pink or red. One of the pots has a very hardy pink geranium in it.

Free: Bionic brand size LARGE knee brace (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted This is a robust knee brace with hinged, metal supports. I used it five or six times - it kept me ambulatory until I could get in to see an orthopedist. Brace is still in good shape.

Free: Three guinea pig pockets (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired These "pockets" - sort of a tiny dog bed designed to allow you to hold a guinea pig on your lap without getting pooped on - are worn, but otherwise clean and with a lot of good use left in them. I've cross posted these pockets because I suspect it's going to be difficult to find a taker. Specific suggestions as to and organization that might want them are appreciated.

Free: Kerosine Lamps (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Expired These lamps are dusty, but otherwise in perfect working order. They were gifted to me thirty years ago and have been in the back of a closet ever since. I have a quart of kerosine to go with them.

Free: Reusable Plastic Bags (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted No holes, rips or tears. These bags, 19 of them, have been cleaned, disinfected and wrapped. I collect the reusable plastic bags that are floating around on sidewalks and streets when I'm out biking. I don't use them even close to the rate at which I collect them. Is anyone in need of them? I would be happy to mail them.

Free: IKEA Queen size bed frame (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted Frame was disassembled today. It's in very good condition. I have no recollection as to what style it is, but it's solid wood - no pressboard - and all parts are present and accounted for. Preference goes to someone who can pick it up today or tomorrow. I have no where to store it so it is, as of an hour ago, sitting out in front of my house under the eaves.

Free: Sheepskin/Fleece (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted This sheepskin/fleece is in good shape. I've had it for three years - I bought it for grand baby, but DIL didn't want. It has not been exposed to smoke of any kind. There is no mold on or in it. The leather is still supple. There has never been any urine or feces of any kind on it. There IS some cat hair an dog hair on it. It was never used as a cat/dog bed, but I have several of both. I live in a sea of cat and dog hair - it just gets everywhere. The wool on this fleece is almost coarse - it was that way when I bought it from my organic/regenerative farmer friends. It does have some dirty spots on it and should probably be washed. Washing sheep skins is a total pain in the everything. It's doable, but it's a lot of work, which is why I'm offering it up for grabs rather than setting to that task. It would make a great topper for a dog bed or could be used for leather work?

Free: Phillips Speakers (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted My husband picked these up on the side of the road five years ago. They had a free sign on them. He never got around to try them out and see if they work. If someone wants to give it a go, great. If not, into ewaste they go.

Free: Handlebar Bag (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted Brand new. In perfect condition. My husband is very fussy about his handlebar bags. It wasn't exactly what he was wanting. It seems like a great bag to me - I have baskets on my bikes so I won't use it.

Free: Artist made ceramic lamp bases (Palo Alto, near Cal Ave) Gifted Base on the left is 12" tall? These were gifted to me by a friend who is professional ceramicist. They are beautiful, but they are both incomplete. The base on the left needs all the metal and wiring parts added to it to make it functional. The base on the right was an oops. Along with needing the metal and wiring parts, she neglected to cut a hole in the base. It's very hard to do this after a piece has been fired. My husband put a lot of work into cutting a hole. He got about half way through before I decided we can't spare the time. I'm thinking these pieces could be smashed and used for mosaics?
