tv remote for sony bravia tv - inner south/city/south/possible drop off Gifted On offer today is a used remote for a Sony Bravia television. Please note this item has not been tested as we do not have the corresponding tv to test it properly. So before I remove the batteries and send it to the e-waste checking if anyone could find a home for it. The model number on the remote is RM-GD004. Given we cannot test it this is pot luck if you have the right model tv and are looking for a replacement/spare or know someone who does. Or if you have capacity to test it I don’t mind if you are able to do that and want to sell it. We are not too far from Manuka or can possibly arrange drop off city/inner south/south depending on how politely you ask and whether you can be patient for a few days/week or so til a time that works for us. digital bathroom scale - inner south/possible drop off Gifted Good afternoon On offer today is a digital bathroom scale, courtesy of a resident in our complex who often places perfectly functional items in the common recycling bin. Background - I guess they think magic fairies sort the items out and distribute them to good homes - perhaps they’re right because apart from taking something out of the recycle bin that can’t be recycled at the plant and because I was worried it would still have the batteries in (yes,it did!), I’ve taken on the job of seeing if I can find a good home for them. So. These are “ Bodisure” brand. When turned on with the press of a foot the display worked fine. I also tested them with some free weights and against our own set and the calibration appeared to be fine. Other items in the recycle bin were just clean cardboard etc so the scales aren’t dirty and don’t appear damaged in any other way but I’ve given them a wipe over with disinfectant just to be sure. Free to a good home. We are near Manuka or may possibly be able to drop them off to you in Civic or Southside when we are heading somewhere nearby if you can wait a few days. Cheers Chris

CAR AND WALL CHARGER MOBILE PHONE 3.5mm PIN - INNER SOUTH/CIVIC/POSSIBLE DROP OFF Expired Good evening all On offer today are a car charger (fits into cigarette lighter socket) and wall charger for older style mobile phones with a 3.5mm PIN connection. The wall charger fits an Australian power socket and of course could be used with an adapter (adapters not included). I believe they would still work but as we no longer have an old Nokia or the like to test them there are no guarantees. If anyone can put them to use before I send them to the e-waste you are welcome to them. If you take them and for some reason they don’t work or aren’t suitable for your needs would appreciate you making the effort to place them in the mobile phone and accessories recycle bin at one of the phone shops or Officeworks. We are near Manuka. Can possibly also arrange drop off Civic/nearby and some Southside suburbs depending on how politely you ask and if you’re willing to wait til we are heading in the general direction so we don’t waste petrol on an extra trip. hp inkjet printer - inner south/drop off may be possible to some locations Expired Good morning On offer today is an older HP inkjet printer.HP C3180, with power and USB connection to PC cables. We do not have the software CD. Last ditch attempt to send it to a good home before we take it to the e-waste. This may suit someone with the technical knowledge and patience to get it working with current OS; or perhaps for parts. Would prefer it went to someone who will take it or its remnants to the e-waste if you take it and are unable to fix/use. It did work well until a year or so ago, but an upgrade to the computer OS seems to have left it high and dry, due to incompatible drivers. Troubleshooting and attempts to find and download drivers from HP or reputable sites have not worked. The printer itself also has a cartridge warning light for the colour cartridge and has been a long time since used so not sure if ink has dried up or just empty. I believe there was ink (refill) in at least the black ink cartridge when it stopped working as it had been taken to the repair shop for refills not long before. We are near Manuka. Drop off may be possible to some locations if you can wait a few days til we are heading in your general direction, anre flexible with times/have a safe, sheltered spot where it could be left and depending on how polite the request. packing peanuts - inner south or possible drop off some suburbs Gifted Good afternoon all Friends sent us a gift that came in a box full of foam packing peanuts. Not sure if these are the type that dissolve in water but in any event now that they’ve been produced it would make more sense for them to be re-used at least once. Volume is approx 26cm x 26 cm x 47cm or around enough to fill maybe half a standard garbage bag. We are near Manuka or may be able to drop them off when we are out and about on errands, depending on location, politeness of request and whether you can be patient til we are heading in your general direction. small clean offcut of soft black leather or pu/synthetic leather Received Good evening all I’m after a small piece or offcut (around 20cm square or so) of black leather or PU/synthetic leather look fabric. This is to repair a large soft toy dog where the nose is already in poor repair unlikely to survive being unstitched and re-attached to the snout. I’ve been looking at the op shops that stock fabric remnants but so far no luck. We are Southside but can pick up most suburbs in Canberra if you don’t mind waiting a few days til we are heading your way. Cheers Chris
