Free: 3 x Tithonia Mexican Sunflower (Morden SM4) Here we have 3 gorgeous Mexican Sunflowers. Tithonia. They grow to approx 4-5 feet and need full sun or they will sulk and not grow well. They prefer free draining soil. The picture en mass are ones grown in my garden last year. They last only one year and are annuals. I would personally pot them on to a larger pot not too big just a bit larger and let them grow a bit bigger before planting.

Free: 2 seedling toms Red Cherry Cerise (Morden SM4) The variety is Red Cherry Cerise, it is a cherry tomato and will need staking and side shooting. I haven't grown this variety before. I grow mine in large pots but it will be happy in the ground in full sun. you need to keep it indoors or a greenhouse until May. Any cold snaps will kill it. I have only one lot left now.

Free: White Lysmachia (Morden SM4) It’s a lovely plant and it’s no trouble at all, the slugs and snails seem to ignore it. It will spread slowly and come up every year. All I do is cut it down at the end of the year when it seems to be finishing. The first picture is in my garden last year, it’s the one with the white spikes. Mine is grown in full sun. They die down and come up in the spring. Ready to plant right away.

Free: Sambucus black beauty shrub cutting (Morden SM4) Promised This is an extremely beautiful shrub and very large too it is not for a tiny garden. It can grow to 10 feet high and at five foot wide. It has pink flowers which is very stark against the black foliage and followed by black berries. The sunnier place it is in the blacker the leaves will go. Mine is in semi shade. The picture with the pink flowers is from the Internet the other pictures are from my garden. THIS CUTTING HAS ROOTS BUT NEEDS TO GROW A LOT MORE BEFORE PLANTING OR YOU WILL LOSE IT. I reduce mine in the winter to around 3 feet to stop it getting too big. When it is fully grown. Please remember that all my cuttings are small plants and will take time to grow. Happy to include other plants if not promised.

Spirea Douglasii grows 4-6 feet eventually. Feathery pink flowers ideal for shrub or hedges border. It is deciduous so will lose its leaves in the winter and come back in the spring. This is a small cutting and really the roots should be allowed to fill the pot before planting.

Free: Mirabilis Four O’clock flower (Morden SM4) Gifted I have absolutely no idea what colour these will turn out to be but I think that they are red or dark pink. Who knows? I very pretty shrubby type plant. You must not plant this out until May when the frost is completely gone. So keep it indoors until then. It is so called a 4 o’clock flower because it flowers when it is lower temperatures later in the afternoon or even on a shady day although it does require full sun to grow. Location: Thrives in full sun, though it can tolerate partial shade. Soil/Water: Needs well-drained soil; water regularly but avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot. They are somewhat drought-tolerant once established. Feeding: Feed monthly with a liquid fertiliser, such as tomato food, to promote blooms. Maintenance: Pinch back young stems to encourage a bushy habit. Deadheading keeps the plant tidy, though it is not strictly necessary. Overwintering (UK): As they are not fully hardy, lift the tuberous roots in autumn after foliage dies back, and store in dry compost in a cool, frost-free place. Alternatively, treat them as annuals and collect seeds for the following year. Only one per person.

Free: Broad Leaf Thyme (Morden SM4) Gifted This is called all kinds of names. It is Caribbean Broadleaf time, Mexican mint and many more. I use it exactly like I would use Thyme. Naturally, you need a little less of it. This is not winter Hardy if you leave it out, you will lose it. I grow mine in a pot which I put out when the frost has gone. It can be easily propagated by just taking off a stem and putting it in a glass of water. I grow a small plant and keep it over the winter and start all over again. I find it’s the best way rather than trying to keep it. Of course you can grow it indoors. Due to non collection it is available again.

Free: Sedum Spurium dragons blood (Morden SM4) Gifted Isn't that a great name for such a small plant Lovely little plant that I would grow in a rockery or it can be grown at the front of a border as ground cover. Shallow rooting sorry it is so small but will soon spread. There are two cuttings per little pot. One pot per person. I have just one left.

Free: Hardy Pink Geranium seedling (Morden SM4) Gifted Hardy pink Geranium measures about a metre by metre when it’s fully grown. It will come up every year and has pink flowers as shown in pics. The slugs don’t seem to touch it so it’s a very good plant. I cut it right down after flowering and then you may get another flush. They are very good plants to put in between roses or to fill out your borders that are very reliable. You can plant now , it is a very tough plant and is waiting to burst into growth. Just remove both the pot and bag and plonk in.
