Request: Cabin bag (Castle MK40) Does anyone have a Ryanair/EasyJet compliant cabin bag that they no longer need, please? The crucial dimensions are 55cm by 40cm by 20cm, but a slightly smaller case would be fine. Many thanks, Heather
Free: 30cm slate tiles (Castle MK40) Gifted 17 rustic slate tiles, originally from Topps Tiles, many years ago. There is a slight variation in thickness, so perhaps suitable for paving a small outdoor area.

Request: Small amount of liquid damp proof membrane (Castle MK40) Received Does anyone have a tiny bit of liquid damp proof membrane left over from a project and no longer needed, please? I really only need a very small amount and it doesn't make sense to buy an entire drum of it if someone has a couple of brushfulls that I can use up. Many thanks, Heather
Request: Smoothing plane or replacement blade for a Stanley SB3 plane (Castle MK40) Expired This is a long shot, I know, but if anyone has a plane blade like the one in the picture (it's a Stanley SB3) lurking unwanted in a garage or shed, or inherited from a woodworking relative, I would be so grateful for it. They still make the plane, which of course comes with the blade, but you can't buy replacement blades for the plane that you already have. Failing that, if anyone has a smoothing plane with a lovely sharp blade that they no longer want, that would also be very gratefully received and pressed into service. With many thanks, Heather

Free: Piece of plywood (Castle MK40) Gifted Before I take it to the tip, could anyone make use of a piece of plywood, 1cm thick, 42" by 55". One side has glue on it, but the other is fine. Perhaps someone could use it to make a pet hutch, or for something on an allotment.
Free: Two screw-fitting light bulbs (Castle MK40) Gifted Could anyone use these bulbs? 23w in new money, which is the equivalent of 100w old money.

Free: Water container for camping (Castle MK40) Expired Can anyone use this water container? It looks a bit squashed, but that's only because it hasn't got water in it - fill it up and it will be fine!

Free: Landline phone handset (Castle MK40) Gifted I have finally made the bold step of ditching my landline, so could anyone use my old(ish) handset? I actually have two to give away, as BT were quite insistent that one just wouldn't be enough.

Free: Pillows (Castle MK40) Expired Six pillows minus pillowcases......I suspect that they have been used, but they look ok, and would be fine for pets, camping, or occasional guests.
Request: Single fitted sheet (Castle MK40) Received Does anyone have a single fitted sheet surplus to requirement, please? Any colour or pattern is fine - I just want it for camping so it really doesn't matter as long as it will fit a single camp bed. Many thanks, Heather
Free: Christmas lights (ice white) (Castle MK40) Gifted String of LED Christmas lights (120 bulbs); 9.5 metres of lit length, with a further 8 metres of cable to the plug.

Request: Rubbing alcohol (Castle MK40) Received Does anyone have any rubbing alcohol (also called Isopropanol) lurking in a shed or garage, please? According to Google, it can be helpful in cleaning slate tiles, but as it might or might not work, I'm not keen to buy a whole litre of it, only to find that it doesn't work and it sits in my loft with all the other stuff that doesn't work..... I only have a few small splashes to try to clean, so if anyone does have a little bit left over, please, I would be very grateful to give it a go. Many thanks, Heather
Free: Vintage baskets (Castle MK40) Gifted These two very pretty vintage baskets are broken and are no use for their intended purpose, but they are very lovely and someone might be able to make some sort of festive decoration with them....I can't quite bring myself to take them to the tip, and it would be lovely if they could live on in some other form!

Free: Energy saving lightbulbs (warm white) (Castle MK40) Gifted Seven of these energy saving lightbulbs, standard wide screw fitting. It says (in very small letters) that they are 8W, which I believe is about 60 watts in old money.

Free: Eight pillows (Castle MK40) Gifted These are definitely pre-owned, but I don't know whether they have been used, so perhaps they best suited for animal bedding or padding for furniture removals. They do actually look ok, but I can't vouch for their history! You don't have to have all of them - it would just be nice to rehome as many as I can!
Request: Carrier bags (Castle MK40) Received Does anyone have a few carrier bags that they no longer need, please? I need to take some books to charity shops, but I seem to have reached the bottom of my stash of bags! With many thanks, Heather
Free: Small garden fork (Castle MK40) Gifted Would anyone like this small garden fork, measuring 29.5 inches (show next to a full size spade for an idea of size)? I'm guessing that it would suit a child or young person.

Request: Black wallpaper (Castle MK40) Expired Does anyone have any leftover rolls of black (or very dark blue) wallpaper that they no longer need, please? Many thanks, Heather
Free: Genuine Indian churidor pants (Castle MK40) Gifted Two pairs of churidor pants from Fabindia; one black, and the other a lovely burnt orange colour. If you don't know what churidor pants are, you probably don't want them!
Free: Three litres of Dulux paint (Castle MK40) Gifted Three litre tins of Dulux flat matt paint in need of a wall. It's a subtle sludgey mushroomy colour, which calls itself Dusted Moss 1 - it's the darkest one on the sample card.

Free: Leather suitcase (Castle MK40) Gifted Lovely vintage leather suitcase, which I believe followed my father around in World War II. I have loved it for many years, but I think it is time for it to go to a new home now. It measures 18" wide, 14" deep and 8" high, and is far more decorative than functional!

Free: Black granite trivet/slab (Castle MK40) Gifted Perfect for kitchen use with hot saucepans. It measures 40cm by 30cm.

Free: Garden pot plant rack (Castle MK40) Gifted Decorative wall-mounted rack for potted plants - the front part hinges up and you can fit a couple of pots inside. It could do with a bit of a rub down with a wire brush and maybe a bit of spray paint, although the bare rust finish is also quite nice. It is 60cm high and 38cm wide.
Free: Vintage hamper (Castle MK40) Gifted Lovely wicker hamper, measures 25" wide, 17" deep and 12" high.

Free: Ladies' coat, size 12 (Castle MK40) Gifted This gorgeous coat is by Loro Piana (Google it to see how eye-wateringly expensive the brand is....), and made me feel classy and elegant for a good 15 years. Sadly, the buttons and buttonholes stand no chance of ever meeting again on me, and it’s time for someone else with a smaller waist to look classy and elegant in it. However (and there is a big ‘however’), the lining is completely shredded, so you will either need the skills to re-line it yourself, or be prepared to pay someone else to do the job. The Zip Yard on the High Street would charge about £80, and you would need to provide lining fabric, which would probably be another £20 or so, but if you can line it yourself, you would have a lovely coat for very little outlay!

Free: Red skirted coat, size 10 (Castle MK40) Expired Lovely red skirted coat – it’s very old, but it still has potentially lots of life left in it. I say potentially because it needs a new lining – I can give you some material to line it with, and the old lining as something of a pattern, but you would still need to either do it yourself or pay someone else to do it. I always felt very splendid in this lovely coat, and it grieves me to think that I will never be able to wear it again, but the size 10 ship sailed many years ago, and it really needs to go now.

Free: Ali Baba style laundry basket (Castle MK40) Gifted It's missing its handles and the wicker 'hinge' between the basket and the lid, but that doesn't affect its ability to hold laundry! 24" high.

Free: Clear plastic sheeting (Castle MK40) Expired Two pieces of clear plastic sheeting, roughly 6 feet square. Could anyone use them for an allotment, or as dust sheets? I think that they started life as mattress covers, but could definitely be made use of in some other way.
