Free: Wooden fountain pen (Yes, really!) (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Yes, it's a fountain pen - and it's wood. It takes ink, so you don't need cartridges. I didn't get on with them really - I found the nib a bit scratchy (but that mat be just me being heavy-handed). So, if you want to give one a try (these haven't been used), let me know. You may have better luck than me. Probably not worth a special journey, so priority to people near Stockwood Park. Thanks.

Free: Dwarf French bean seeds (Stockwood LU1) I've a spare packet of Wilko dwarf French beans tendercrop - with a sow by date of December 2026. I'm not going to sow them (I'm short of space), so free to a good home - near Stockwood Park.

Free: Jasmine (Stockwood LU1) Gifted I thought this jasmine had died so I bought something new (and hardier and more evergreen), but it turns out the jasmine has survived the winter*. It's starting to grow like the clappers, so is pretty robust. (It's Jasminum officinale if you want to check out what it's like in full flow.) *I'm no Alan Titchmarsh, as you can tell - but the plant still survived. If you're interested in giving it a home, let me know. I'll be getting rid of it next weekend, so fair use policy applies. IMPORTANT: It's the plant only, not the pot or the frame.

Free: Mint plant (no pot) (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hi I'm about to empty a couple of pots so I need to rehome a couple* of mint plants. They are different varieties so the first to arrive will get first choice - but as I don't need the pots until the weekend, I'll give people a few days to see the post. (So, please don't try to rush me!) **Just a reminder: it's the plants only not the pots.** *It's mint, so if more than two people want it, I can always split it because - believe me - it'll soon recover. (And don't worry that I'll be mint-less - it's taking over a window box!)

Free: Ice pack (Stockwood LU1) Can anyone use an ice pack? I used it to deal with gout and swollen feet - TMI, I know! - but I don't need it anymore. It's one where you add ice cubes (it doesn't have gel or anything inside). It's been in a cupboard, so it's a bit dusty - but it still seems watertight, and that's what matters.

Free: Raffia basket (Stockwood LU1) It's a raffia basket (the sort of thing that you get presents in - which is how I got it) with some wood shaving-type packing. It has a slight bit of damage - but if you use it for a gift they'll only be bothered for a couple of minutes. It's about 30 cm wide x 20 cm deep - and it's higher at the back - designed for display. Probably not worth travelling a distance for, but if anybody is near London Road, they're welcome to it.

Free: Under bed boxes (Stockwood LU1) I've got two of these under bed boxes - they're OK but they don't have lids, so are better for long term storage for things that are already covered or bagged. (I do seem to create a lot of dust - which ends up in the boxes, so I'm getting some with lids.) They are black painted plywood (one side is unpainted as that won't really be seen). They are approx 60 cm x 93 cm x 18 cm. Fair use policy applies (so please don't hassle me for a quick decision). Thanks.

Free: Old leather bags (Stockwood LU1) I've got three old leather bags. There's a large black shoulder bag (38 cm x 27 cm), a smaller brown shoulder bag (30 cm x 27 cm) and a brown rucksack (40 cm x 30 cm). They've not been well looked after (and the zip on the rucksack is knackered), and the brown ones are quite scuffed, the black one is in better condition. If not useful as bags, maybe someone can repurpose the leather. If interested, please say which bag you would be interested in. .

Free: Plastic containers (lots) (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hi I've got a load (well, about 10 small and six large) of these plastic containers - with lids. They originally had bird food but could be useful for all sorts of things. I reckon the smaller ones are about 18 cm x 18 cm, and the larger ones about 24 cm × 16 cm. Thanks, Bren.

Free: plant pots (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hi I've got a load of 9 cm plastic plant pots. Mainly grey, some brown - there's about two dozen of them. They're the thin plastic type that you get when you buy plants. If they're any good for you, I can give them a wash. Thanks.

Free: Peanut bird feeder (Stockwood LU1) Gifted I've got some peanut bird feeders so the birds have a choice - and the little blighters prefer the other food. So, if you think your birds might not be quite so awkward, feel free to try with one of these.

Free: Pans, pans and more pans (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hi I've got some pans that I no longer use - three saucepans and one milkman. (And there’s probably a matching frying pan). The smaller pans aren't in great condition, but they are still usable. The bigger two pans are in better condition. There are lids as well. If you want more information, just let me know. Free: Dead towels (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hello All I hope you've had a good Christmas! I don't know why anyone would want them, but last time people were biting my hand off, so here goes... I've got a load of once-white cotton towels that have seen better days and are a bit threadbare (and leave a load of lint in the dryer!). One or two may still be usable as towels, but it's debatable, but generally they're probably better for people who can find alternative uses. If you have an odd use for them - keeping in the car for the dog, mopping up etc - let me know. If you're really looking for towels to use as towels, these probably aren't for you. You're right, I'm not doing the hard sell - I want to manage expectations. Cheers, Bren.

Free: Various household goods (Stockwood LU1) Gifted Hi I'm having a bit of a clear-out, so if any of these are of use, please get in touch: • half a dozen plastic containers, useful for sorting our shelves. They are translucent white - 25 cm (W) x 14 cm (D) x 13 cm (D) •a couple of plastic bowls - 28 cm diameter •a couple of cake tins with transparent plastic lids - 28 cm diameter • a cream bedside lamp. Free: Big pieces of white material (Stockwood LU1) Expired Hi I've got a couple of white cotton quilt covers (200 cm x 200 cm) that are falling apart at the edges. So, they are no use as quilt covers, but if you could use some large pieces of material (basically, a bit under 200 cm x 200 cm) - making banners, dust sheets or whatever - these could be just the thing. Free: Glass lampshade (Stockwood LU1) Expired This was part of an uplighter that fell apart - and I assume (but can't guarantee) that it would fit a standard light fitting.

Free: New Yorker magazines (Stockwood LU1) Expired If anybody wants a load of New Yorker magazines from the past few years, I have a load to get rid of. Seriously, there must be a couple of dozen from 2016 to 2020 (ish). Lots of great cartoons and short stories, so if you fancy some summer reading, you're more than welcome.

Free: Futon / folding bed (Stockwood LU1) Gifted I've got a couple of folding futons with covers. They are dark brown - with optional table-top. They were originally from the Futon Company.1 They've been stored in a cupboard and have a bit of water staining from a leak, but are generally in good condition. They are really comfortable - I've just run out of room. They do have a fire label - I'm happy to send over a copy if you like.
