Free: AI gesture recognition thingie (Widcombe) Gifted I think I won it in a raffle. I’ve had it a couple of years and never took it out of the box, so time to find it à proper home I think. I haven’t unwrapped it fully for the photo as it seemed à shame to ruin the “newness”, but you can see what it’s supposed to look like from the box. It worked fine for months, but has since unpaired from the app (SmartLife), and I can’t get it to re-pair. Happy to give to a home for someone better with misbehaving tech than I am! Free: Automatic pet feeder (Widcombe) Gifted I got this free for review purposes. The instructions are in badly translated Chinese, and I can’t make head nor tail of them. I gather there’s an app to be downloaded, but when I follow the QR code, the app appears to be in Chinese. So, while it is brand new, it may require a working knowledge of Mandarin (?) to know what to do. Or maybe the English instructions will make more sense to someone else!

Free: Random toiletries (Widcombe) Gifted Hair dye, toothpaste, face creams, makeup brushes I think these are all unopened (except the makeup brushes, which have previously been used) but please accept my apologies in advance if I missed one or two. I cannot see expiry dates on them, so I think they are all of the “use within 12 months of opening” variety. The hairs dyes are all dark or medium-dark brown and are probably at least two years old, as I changed my hair colour about that time.

Free: ThinkPad laptop (Widcombe) Gifted May require someone skilled in laptop repair, or it may be fine. The story behind this is: I had this laptop for work. I was getting a lot of blue screen errors, and they tried to fix it remotely, but couldn’t. They sent me a new one, and I was going to send this one back once it was confirmed that the new one was working properly. But then they made me redundant and said I should keep the laptop because it would cost them more to collect it than it’s worth. I looked online, and these laptops sell for £800+ when working correctly. It may even be working correctly now, as they wiped it remotely after my last official day, and for all I know that could have cured the problem. I have another laptop, so I don’t really need this one, and so I would be happy to see it go to a good home. It has a touch screen, and is lightweight, both of which are useful features IMO. Free: Kenwood Multipro Excel (Widcombe) Gifted Would suit someone good with electronics, as the “on” button is unreliable. Probably just a loose connection, but we don’t have the skills to repair it. Works fine otherwise. Comes with lots of accessories, including blender, grinder, 4 slicing disks, beater, etc, as you can see from the picture. Also has a weighing function. Free: Solid oak cabinet (Widcombe) Gifted Formerly a TV cabinet, from back in the days before flat screen TVs were common! Dimensions in cm: 117W x 62D x 156H This is a high quality item and cost £1800 when we bought it 20-odd years ago. It is EXTREMELY HEAVY. Two strong men struggled to bring it into our home when we moved. We cannot help you move it, so please take that into consideration. Free: Shoe shelf inserts (Widcombe) Expired Practically new. Taken out of a cabinet unit as we decided we needed the space for shelving rather than shoes. They will need a casing built around them, so would suit someone who is handy with carpentry! Dimensions: 80cm wide x 40 cm high x ~22 cm deep

Free: Roomba robot vacuum (needs attention) (Widcombe) Gifted The connections with the charging station have got a bit fussy, so ideally this would go to someone who is handy with electronics. You can work around it by placing a wedge under one end to increase the contact pressure at the other, but it’s a bit annoying so would be better for someone who can fix it :). You will need to download the Roomba app to get the best use out of it!

Free: Sage toaster oven (Widcombe) Gifted W47 X D40 (including handle) x H29 (cm) Very handy item - if you get smaller pans, you can roast a small chicken. Very energy efficient. Getting rid of it because we upgraded to the version that in includes an air fryer function, but I’ve loved this little toaster oven. Generally good condition, fully working order.

Free: Liquid cat food (Widcombe) Gifted 21 tins of liquid cat food. We got think because it’s nutritionally complete, unlike some cat soups, but unfortunately our cat doesn’t like it. If you have an elderly cat like ours who struggles with solid food, maybe this will help.

Free: Miele Cat & Dog vacuum cleaner (Widcombe) Gifted 10 years old. A bit battered, but it still works and has all the accessory heads. The suction isn’t what it once was, but it’s adequate. You could either use it as is, or some clever person might be able to diagnose the problem and improve it. We recently changed the filter, which did make an improvement.

Free: Bath stone blocks (Widcombe) Gifted Approximately 30 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm. Very heavy! These aren’t at our house, so we’ll need to organise an exact meeting time. Also, as they are heavy, it would be great if you have someone strong who can collect.
