Free: Dell Optiplex 780 USFF micro desktop (Bolstone HR2) Expired Clearing the stuff I wanted to do something with and never did (or I finished with it), I found a small PC. It’s a Dell OptiPlex 780 USFF micro desktop (about the size of a large dictionary) It runs very well. However it does not have Windows installed. At the moment it runs Open Suse, I think. It comes with a 19" monitor, cables (if I find them) but no keyboard nor mouse nor Wi-Fi. It can be used for web browsing, for light video streaming, for word processing, email, or as a remote desktop client. Please note, it is obsolete technology, probably 15 years old, and I do not advise you give it to your children. I live in the sticks, 4 miles south of Hereford. If you want it, I’d appreciate it if you can let me know what you plan to do with it. I will give precedence to people who have a concrete use for it, rather than people who just want to tinker with it. PS If you happen to have a bottle of wine spare, I’d appreciate it (but it’s not necessary).

Free: 10" Galaxy Tab 2 (Bolstone HR2) Gifted On offer is a 10" Galaxy Tab 2 tablet in good nick. It runs a version of Android 7.1 (LineageOS for the more tech minded) and has access to the Play Store. It’s quite slow and I was unable to use it for streaming videos or for recent games. Basically, it’s a piece of technology that still works quite well but became obsolete. According to the specs, it has GPS, so in theory it could be used as a SatNav. I could not figure out how to do it. It can be used as an E-Book book reader, or even as an additional screen or trackpad for your PC, or as a digital photo frame, or as a calendar, or podcast/music player... Note: - It is not suitable for children. It will only frustrate them and I want no responsibility for breaking families - I live in the sticks, about 4 miles south of Hereford. Do you really want to traipse all the way here?

Free: Galaxy Tab 2 Tablet (Bolstone HR2) Withdrawn On offer is a 10" Galaxy Tab 2 tablet in good nick It runs Android 7.1.12 and it has access to the Google PlayStore It works well, but it’s slow. It will not work for watching streamed videos (unless your patience is better than mine) but it will make a decent rolling picture frame. It can be used as an additional little screen for your computer. It apparently has GPS, so in theory, it could be used as a SatNav, but I never tried. I recommend against giving it to children, as it’s way too slow with recent games. If you want it, please note that I live in the sticks, about 4 or 5 miles south of Hereford. I’d appreciate it if you could refrain from asking unless you are willing to traipse all the way here for what is essentially obsolete hardware.

Free: Cot (Bolstone HR2) Expired Our granddaughter has moved on to a single bed and her cot is available. It has been well used and loved by several children. It's quite solid and in relatively good conditions. Ah, it has a lot of stickers that may need removing (unless you like them, of course) It's already dismantled and ready to be taken. The picture shows a similar cot, not the one I'm offering. I cannot take a picture of the actual cot as it's been dismantled already. It measures 70x140 cm There's also a mattress, which has seen better days, but you are welcome to it too, if you want, or leave it. I'm located 4 miles south of Hereford

Free: Old colour laser printer (Bolstone HR2) Gifted On offer is an old Brother colour laser printer, duplex, ethernet. Model number in picture 4 fullish toner cartridges Before you all get excited, it prints quite meh, the colour is washed out with occasional blank spots but the black is legible enough. Available for the asker

Free: Colour Laser Printer (needs TLC) (Bolstone HR2) Gifted On offer is an HP LaserJet 2600n. It’s a colour laser printer, duplex, with Ethernet connection. It was my main workhorse printer for a while but at one point it started printing streaks of colour (see photo). This might be caused by the fact that the last compatible cartidges I put in were poor quality? I don’t print much anymore, and I had it in a corner for a few months, waiting for me to give it a proper look, but I never did. If you want to try your hand at it, please come and get it. It might be that you end up with a printer that will outlast us all.

Free: HP printer Deskjet 3630 (Bolstone HR2) Expired On offer is a basic inkjet printer/scanner with USB connection. I haven't used for a few years but it was working well then. It turns on and feeds paper but I have no ink to try. You're welcome to come and get it before I'll try and give it to a charity/thrift/reuse shop

Request: Baby bottle steam steriliser (Bolstone HR2) Expired I was wondering if anyone has a baby bottle steam steriliser in good conditions pthey no longer need We need to sterilise some medical equipment every day (a nebuliser) and boiling it is an additional hassle we'd like to avoid. Free: Xerox Phaser 6510 printer (not working?) (Bolstone HR2) Gifted On offer is a Xerox Phaser 6510 colour duplex network printer. However, it does not work. It turns on and remains stuck on an error message. It’s quite new and apparently it only printed less than a couple of thousand pages. It comes with nearly new toner (I discovered it because at one time it did go past the error message). I was given it to have a go, and I did have a go at it. If you feel like having a go at it yourself, you are welcome to it. If you get it to work, it’s a great printer. Ideas on how to get it to work (even if you don’t want it) will also be gratefully accepted (I wouldn’t mind offers for a replacement free colour laser printer either). Please note that I am located about 4 miles south of Hereford, not far from Little Dewchuch.

Request: Microphone (USB) for computer (Bolstone HR2) Expired I'm looking for a USB microphone I can give to a friend to allow her to make Skype/Zoom calls with her computer. The built-in one is broken and sounds like she's under water and when I speak with her we get totally frustrated. Of course I'd be happy to collect it in Hereford town or HR2 area Thanks!

Free: 650VA UPS (battery faulty) (Bolstone HR2) Expired I was given a pristine-looking UPS model "Sweex Intelligent (650 VA) - Line Interactive - model PP200" Regrettably it does not work. A quick superficial test showed me that the battery is faulty. It’s a sealed lead acid battery 12v 7ah (or 9ah) the type used in alarms, mobility scooters, and UPSs, and available from the usual sheds for a couple of tenners. Since I am unable to test if anything else might be wrong, I don’t feel getting a new battery just to try it. If anybody here knows more about this sort of things than I do and feels like giving it a try, you are welcome to have it. The photo is a stock photo.
