Blue recycling box (Sunnyside RH19)
Promised
This is one of the original MSDC plastic recycling boxes - in good condition. When the new recycling bins were introduced I took this up to the recycling centre but they could do nothing with it other than landfill - apparently you can't recycle redundant recycling bins. But a strong box that may be useful for storing and transporting stuff around in. Approx size is 550 x 400 x 280mm external.

Tunturi Rower (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
This is an old Tunturi rowing machine - as far as I can tell fully working, but with some cosmetic challenges (surface rust on the arms) and will need a bit of cleaning. Fairly heavy (20 kilos maybe). I didn't get a chance to measure it to see what size of car would be required to collect - please contact me if you need dimensions.

Free:
Gutter Guards (Sunnyside RH19)
A decent quantity of plastic Gutter Guards, used but in good condition - a few may have one or two of the linking tabs broken off, but most are complete. IIRC there are enough for approximately 20m of gutter, give or take a bit. Each one is approx 105mm wide and 500mm long.

7-day electronic timeswitch (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
One 7-day electronic timeswitch, fully working, with instruction leaflet.

Free:
24-hour timeswitch x 3 (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Three simple electromechanical timeswitches - all fully working. Note that as these are driven by an internal electric motor they are not silent and so are probably not suitable for use in a bedroom, for example. Feel free to request one or two if you don't need all three.

Free:
BT DECT handsets and base units (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Four fully working DECT handsets, plus one handset that works but the display is blank. Four charger bases and one digital answerphone base - all with mains power supplies. The answerphone is untested (I've never used one) but I've no reason to think that it's not working OK. These are quite high-spec handsets that synchronise with one another (so for example if you set the day/time on one handset, all the others get updated).

Free:
Portaflash light reflector (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
One camera light reflector panel, in good condition. Comprises one pop-out "soft" reflector (roughly 1m diameter) and a more reflective "sock" that can be zipped over it. It all folds down into a small 30cm approx diameter pouch.

Free:
Four long Spur shelf brackets (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
Each 470mm long, four off. Cosmetically not great condition, with some surface rust, but Ok for garage/shed use. Will go to metals recycling at the tip if no interest in the next couple of days.

Pair axle stands (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Pair of old axle stands - fully functional, 2000 kilos working limit.

Free:
Pine storage shelf unit x 2 (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Two simple, open wooden shelf units - a few stains on the shelves but nothing grim. They are roughly 1.8m tall by 0.4m deep. One is wider than the other, and the wider is roughly a metre wide. Please let me know if you need exact sizes and I will measure them up. They just bolt together and can be dismantled for transport, but it will save a fair bit of time if you don't have to take them apart. Ideally need to be taken before the end of Friday 8th Aug if possible.

Free:
Bosch Rotak 34 lawnmower (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
One Bosch corded mains electric lawnmower - 34cm cutting width, so designed for medium sized gardens. Fully working but quite a few years old, with plenty of scrapes and signs of use. But the blade is sharp and it would certainly do as a stand-in for a while.

Free:
Cactus (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
Any cactus aficionados here? This is a large and very spiky indoor-only cactus that has finally outgrown the space available for it. It's in good health and growing in almost every direction, and very spiky indeed. To give an idea of size - it's around 74cm across. Note: Pot is included, the stand is not.

Free:
Trolley Jack (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
This is a cheap 2 Ton hydraulic trolley jack, that works but has a slow leak on one of the internal seals. I've used it for years because it works fine if you are just jacking and then putting axle stands under the car, but at its rated limit it will not hold a car for long before slowly letting it back down. It's going to the metals recycling at the tip this eve so if you want it (for example to use the ram for something else) please say so before 5pm, Sat 10th.

10W40 Engine Oil (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
In the days when a 5l can of engine oil was £7.99 we would just have chucked this away. But 5l of Semi-synth Halfords branded oil is now £38... Halfords semi-synthetic engine oil to ACEA A3/B3 and API SL CF specifications, for petrol or diesel engines. Unused oil, part-full - approximately 3l left.

Outdoor rotary clothes airer (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Not a good photo as I couldn't find anywhere to put it up. Despite the bad photo which makes it look a tangled mess, this seems to be in quite good condition, with no breaks to the line that I can see. It was obviously a fairly good make - heavier duty than most of the ones made today. Let me know if you need any dimensions.

Free:
Makita Battery Drill (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Please: read the whole of this description before asking for the item: Another very nice quality Makita drill/driver which is in excellent condition and seems to have had hardly any use. Of course, the battery is completely, unrecoverably dead, because it sat unused for many years. This one is 18V, type 8391D.

Free:
McCulloch petrol strimmer - needs work (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
This a petrol powered McCulloch Trimmac 210 strimmer. It's a few years old (man. date 2002) and has been stored unused for many of those years. It appears to be in good condition but needs the plastic pipes from the fuel tank to the carb replacing (see final photo). It's obviously a common thing that deteriorates over time, as you can buy kits of parts (pipes, filter and priming bulb) on Ebay for only a few pounds. I have no reason to believe that it's not otherwise in working condition, but I can't ask the previous owner as they are no longer with us. Please only ask for this item if you are willing to do the repair work - it's a useless item if you are not...

Free:
Bosch battery drill (Sunnyside RH19)
Expired
This is a Bosch 24V battery drill from the days of NiCad batteries. It has sat unused for maybe a decade so the battery is completely dead. Other than that I know nothing about the history of this drill - it does not look to have had a hard life, but I have no way to test it to confirm it's working. NiMH replacement batteries are still available for this drill. Alternatively, the keyless chuck appears to be in excellent condition and could possibly used to repair another drill. It will go to the small electricals recycling in a few days if no takers.

Free:
Castrol GTX3 engine oil (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Any bangernomics operators here? One opened can of Castrol GTX3 Lightec 10W40 engine oil - approx 2.8l left. If you want it, please say so today. It doesn't need to be collected immediately, but it will go in oils recycling at the tip if nobody asks for it today.

Small beech tree (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Just a beech tree - but it's quite an interesting shape. Roughly a metre across. Needs to go into the ground soon, and I don't have anywhere to put it. Note that unlike in the photo, it does not come in a pot - the roots will be bagged, ready for planting or repotting.

Free:
Framed Peter Scott print (Sunnyside RH19)

One of the classic Peter Scott paintings from the late '40s. Framed under glass - generally good condition but dusty and a splash or two of emulsion paint on the frame.

Free:
Beer crate side tables (Sunnyside RH19)
Gifted
Not your average pieces of furniture. This is a matching pair of side tables, which are simply drop-in wooden tops on a pair of stacked beer crates. Very simple and can be used to store beer as well! Note that these are not intended to be immaculate - they were made for the equivalent of a man-cave, where appearance was not important. Size of each is 30 x 40 x 55cm tall. To go as a pair. (Sorry, no beer included...)
