Audio books on cassette tapes (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
Mostly in pretty good condition. I must admit I haven't played any of them for years, but they have been kept in a dry place that does not get too hot or cold. Many are suitable for children, and I have greatly enjoyed all of them. You can see the titles on the photo, and there are two cassettes in each case.

Free:
Two embroidered tray cloths (Elmstead BR7)
About 47cm x 31cm. I think they are probably cotton and probably hand embroidered, but I am no expert. To be honest they are both slightly stained, probably from tea. I imagine it is almost impossible to avoid the odd drop of tea falling on a tray cloth, and almost impossible to remove the tea stains without damaging the embroidery.

Free:
Set of six fish knives and forks (Elmstead BR7)
Stainless steel, made in Sheffield to BS5577, which gives material and performance criteria for cutlery with non-metallic handles. Requirements are given for stainless-steel and silver-plated nickel-silver or silver-plated stainless steel cutlery. I very much doubt they have ever been used, so there is little sign of wear.

Free:
Silver Plated Cake Slice (Elmstead BR7)
Made in Sheffield. It has hardly ever been used, and polishes up well.

Free:
M&S Edwardian Lady cachepot (plant pot holder) (Elmstead BR7)
Withdrawn
As new. About 15cm across and 13cm high. A cachepot (from the French for "hide the pot") is a decorative outer container used to conceal an ordinary, functional plant pot. It acts as an aesthetic "overpot", allowing you to hide standard plastic or terracotta grow pots without needing to re-pot the plant directly. They typically lack drainage holes. This protects your tabletops, shelves, and furniture from water damage and soil spills. You can simply remove the inner plastic pot for watering, let it drain completely in the sink, and place it back inside the cachepot. Many plant owners place a layer of pebbles at the bottom of a cachepot to raise the plant slightly above any excess runoff, which helps increase humidity as the water evaporates.

About 44cm across. There is no label.

6 seat rectangular patio set cover (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
The cover comes in its own zip storage case, with a handle. It also comes with a "spider" to hold it in position when the wind blows. It has been used over a couple of winters but is still in good condition. Check the size carefully, as we found it too small for our patio set, and bought a larger one instead.

Free:
Brass oil lamp (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
It's about 50cm tall, and has two wicks. It does not contain any oil, so it is safe to transport in your car. I have not tested it, but I imagine there is little to go wrong. One wick definitely can be raised. The other one is very stiff and I don't like to force it as I do not know what I am doing. I have not tried removing the filler cap.

Free:
Tall bamboo screen (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
Excellent condition. It is about 187cm tall, and each panel is 46cm wide. Handy for hiding areas you want to keep out of sight. Being bamboo it is surpisingly light, just over 5kg. Available for collection most days from noon to 8pm. I'm afraid I can't offer to deliver as my car load space isn't long enough.

Free:
Lightweight M&S folding hiking/camping chair with carry case (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
As new and probably never used. It weighs just 1.5kg and folds easily into its carry case with shoulder strap, 74cm long. Available for collection from noon to 8pm most days. If transport is a problem I may be able to deliver by car.

Free:
Fire log basket (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
The basket is about 45cm high and 26cm across. It is in good condition and has a plastic lining so that you don't get bits of wood on your floor. It is clean and in very good condition. Available for collection between noon and 8pm most days. If transport is a problem I may be able to deliver by car.

Free:
Earthenware wine cooler (Elmstead BR7)
It fits a standard wine bottle and the top inch or so is glazed. There is a bunch of grapes design on the front that I have tried to capture in the second photo. I doubt it has ever been used. If you don't have a car and distance is a problem, I may be able to deliver it by car.

Two one-litre Thermos flasks (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
These are proper old-fashioned Thermos brand vacuum flasks with silvered glass vacuum interiors that actually do keep the contents hot or cold. They have screw-on plastic stoppers and a smaller inner cup in addition to the outer cup with handle. I've long followed my Auntie's tip to always store Thermos flasks open so that they keep fresh smelling inside, and with a loosely crumpled plug of kitchen paper in place of the stopper to keep any dust out. It really works!

Free:
Baby's high chair with safety harness (Elmstead BR7)
Expired
Ideal for use at home. The chair is clean and in good condition except (a) the plastic seat cover has yellowed a bit, and (b) one of the ferrules is missing. The long legs can be removed and folded for ease of transport or storage. The tray is also removable. In both cases they are held on with wing bolts that can be tightened or loosened by hand without any tools.

35d
Free:
Fire Blanket (Elmstead BR7)

Suitable for smothering and putting out small fires, such as a chip pan. I have used it once for a grill pan fire and it worked well. It was also undamaged.

HP Photosmart 325 photo printer (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
Despite dating from 2004 this should still be usable because it can print directly from camera memory cards without connecting it to a PC at all, and the toner is still available. If you did want to run it from a PC, it is only compatible with Windows 98, 2000 Professional, ME, XP Home, and XP Professional. It is capable of producing top-quality 6 x 4 colour prints. Its condition is as new, but I cannot promise it is working as I last used it on 3 May 2010, and I have not bought a new toner cartridge to test it with. However, it comes with all the original cables, manuals, the software CD, an unopened pack of photo paper to print on, and another pack in a sealed pouch, as shown in the photos. The toner box is empty, just kept to show what toner to buy. This is what AI says about it: The Hewlett Packard Photosmart 325 compact photo printer has everything that is needed from a portable high-quality inkjet photo printer. It is small, measuring 220 mm by 116 mm by 116 mm (8.7 inches by 4.6 inches by 4.6 inches). It is lightweight, with only 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) of weight; it is fast and reliable, and it has autonomy as the internal battery in this Hewlett Packard Photo InkJet Printer allows to keep printing when there is no power supply available. The Hewlett Packard Photosmart 325 printer is direct printing-capable via the built-in USB port or in combination with PictBridge-enabled digital cameras, and it has four slots to connect different types of memory cards. However, it can increase its versatility to accept wireless printing via Bluetooth technology when the appropriate HP wireless printer adapter is used so it can print photos taken with a camera phone with Bluetooth connectivity. The LDC colour display allows users to preview their photos and select the ones that are going to come out of this Hewlett Packard Photo InkJet Printer. The control panel of this compact photo printer is user-friendly, with four buttons to control different tasks directly from the built-in panel. The design matches the high-quality features of this Hewlett Packard Photo InkJet Printer that supports fast printing on photo paper only.

International collection of 2,332 stamps all pre 1973 (Elmstead BR7)

They are all in slip-in albums and in excellent condion. They are particularly good on UK, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Malawi, and Ethiopia, but many other countries also. There is also a box full of duplicate copies to swap with other collectors.

Free:
Two chrome vacuum flasks (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
Excellent condion. I would guess that one is at least 1 litre and the other 0.75 litres. They were both formerly used for serving coffee in the meeting rooms of a UK top 100 company, but are robust enough to take on a picnic. Both have plastic screw tops and spouts for easy pouring without opening up the flask entirely.

Black leather attache case, expanding (Elmstead BR7)
Gifted
While well cared for with regular leather cream, and carefully treated, it is worn after 25 years of daily use. The photos show the wear on the edges and handle, that one fastener no longer springs up, and that five out of eight brass corners are missing. However, it still looks respectable if you don't look too closely, and is probably good for a few more years.
