Free: Epson Stylus 600 & 720 printers (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted Two different printers to give away, either separately or together. Epson Stylus Color 600 (SC 600) Epson Stylus Color 720 (SC 720) They're both pretty old (the SC 600 from the mid-1990's at a guess, the 720 early in the 21st Century). BOTH ARE NOT PRINTING AT ALL OR VERY WELL - however that might be just down to lack of ink, or it might be down to the nozzles being clogged as they've not been used for around a decade, each. I've done the built in test on the 720 and get some black output but on the 600 it's a clean sheet of paper I'm afraid. The mechanics in both seem to be pretty good - despite their age paper feed etc works nicely. It would appear that the internal mechanics to both are the same or very similar. The build quality seems to be better than most modern consumer inkjets. Why might you want one? Well, if you have any of the consumables it might be worth you having a go at getting one going. Or if you fancy a bit of a project. Alternatively there's lots of neat mechatronics inside, so if you needed small DC motors etc they could be stripped down for those. The differences are really down to the interfaces - and that dates them. Neither have any networking. SC600 has Parallel (intended for PC) and 8-pin Mini-DIN for that weird differential RS422 that Macs used to use until they adopted USB. I also had, but have lost, a cable that adapted the parallel port to USB so I could use it on my newer Mac. SC720 has Parallel (intended for PC) and USB (intended for Mac, but these days I expect your PC has it too!) The service manual for the 720 is available here. For the history minded we used the 600 with a Mac II, Powerbook 165, Performa 630 (given away on Freecycle) and then with an assortment of PCs. The 720 was my mum's and used on an original iMac and then a 2009-era MacBook. Hoping someone can find a use for these... else it's off to Butt Lane for them.

Free: Gü Ramekin dishes (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired I don't normally buy this brand of dessert, nice though it is, owing to the outrageous packaging. But I succumbed to a deep discount and now I have around SIX of these glass dishes to get rid of. Yes, I know they're very useful but I already have more than I can ever imagine using! Banana for scale. Any takers? I can leave them in the porch; you can pick up any time.

Free: 2×HP Colour C6180 printer: Broken (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired I have TWO of these printers. But first, the bad news. They're both broken. One is partially disassembled and starts up but has some sort of problem in its paper sensing as it repeatedly fails to load the paper. It's part disassembled because I was trying to repair that, but ended up giving up after making one repair but that dind't fix it. The other printer is disassembled almost completely into a box of bits - I stripped it down to cannibalise to repair the first one. The scanner on both still works. This might suit someone who already has a C61xx and wants donor machines for spares, or wants some various bits of mechatronics to build something with - there's lots of lovely motors, encoders and sensor and the like. I need them gone sharpish - they're in bits on my dining table and we've got guests over Christmas! If you do have a printer that takes the same ink as this one you may also be interested in that I'm giving away my significant remaining stock of ink. That's a separate post though.

Free: HP 363 compatible ink cartridges (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired These are the cartridges for a wide variety of HP inkjet printers - I've all six colours here (CMYK and also light C and M). They're not genuine HP, but the much better values ones from Choice Stationery Supplies - - they're far higher capacity than genuine HP ones. If they fit your printer they'll be a godsend.

Free: Epson 29XL Ink Cartridges (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired These are Epson 29XL compatible Ink Cartridges.from StinkyInk - They've been part used in a now-broken printer. I cannot guarantee they'll be OK, but they look OK.

Free: Epson XP-235 printer (not working) (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired Another broken printer I need to clear out. On the off-chance this is of interest (especially if someone might want it for parts). It starts, but despite by efforts to clean the print head - still no output. If you have one of these you might want it for spares. You'll also be interested in the inks that I'm giving away separately.

Free: Blue office chair, fully working (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired Nothing wrong with this apart from being a bit grubby. Even has an adjustable pneumatic lumbar support. My trusty seat throughout much of the pandemic, but now I've inherited a less tatty one. All yours if you can collect.

Free: Minke whirlygig clothes line broken (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired Bit of a long shot this. This no longer stays up (the ratchet mechanism is broken) and it need restringing. I'm inclined to think that after 20 years it's probably scrap, but if you can make use of it, or its components (there's lots of aluminium in there - think of the energy footprint!) I'd love to donate it to you rather than the Milton Tip.

Free: Nespresso Aerochino; doesn't heat (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted A Nespresso Aerochino milk frother - - *But* the heater has failed, so you'll need to heat the milk in a microwave or - as I was planning to - repair it (heading down a YouTube rabbit hole, for example ). So why have I decided not to repair it? Well I was given a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser as a present - which is basically the same thing. So Now I've lost all impetus to mend it. So: If you want cold frothed milk, are prepared to heat it otherwise, or fancy having a go at mending it... this is for you!

Request: Polar chest strap for heart rate (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired It's a long shot, but.... I have a Polar H7 heart rate monitor, but I think the strap is becoming unreliable and not making contact due to age. So does anyone have an old heart rate strap? I don't think I need the monitor as I think mine is still working OK. Though obviously I'm happy to take both.

Free: Measuring scoops, 75ml in 10ml step (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted I have about seven of these scoops that come with protein whey. Each is 75ml capacity, but is, usefully, calibrated in 10ml gradation. I can leave them outside for easy pick-up. Just say how many you'd like!

Free: Broken Delonghi ESAM04.110 Coffee (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired Broken Delonghi ESAM04.110 Bean-to-cup machine free to good or bad home. After about 12 years of service (though numerous repairs - they're highly repairable) I retired it when it became just too leaky. Now it also trips the electrics (with a pop!). So.... Here it is, either as a repair project (which I don't recommend unless you really know what you're doing) or more likely for you to cannibalise to keep a similar machine going for a few years more. Delonghi's ESAM machines all have quite similar internals so it could be used as a donor for other ESAM machines - not the just the identical model. In fact ours has some parts from a different model.

Free: Cupboard child safety catches (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted I've seven of the catches you can install in your drawers and cupboards that make it difficult for children to open them. Intended for those cupboards you keep nasty stuff in that you don't want the children playing with. Complete with screws.

Free: Soft multifocal contact lenses (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted A bit niche this! Wrong prescription sent of these disposable soft multifocal lenses lenses. I'm a bit hazy about how to read multifocal prescriptions but here's what it says on the pack: BC:8.4 (base curvature) DIA:14.2 (diameter) ADD: MED (I think that's the level of correction taken for close. Not sure what MED means though). D: -2.00 (Dominant) Exipiry date in 2027. So... anyone have a prescription like this and want them?

Free: Wallet, needs stitching (West Chesterton, CB4) Expired My old wallet - without the contents! It's come unstitched and I have a new one. If anyone fancies having a go, please take it away!

Free: Handheld food mixer (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted With two different attachments. ASDA branded. However, note that the switch is dodgy so you’ll probably want to open it up to repair it for reliable use.

Free: Anolon knife sharpner (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted Featuring three progressively finer ceramic whetstones within a contained water chamber, this steel knife sharpener makes it easy to sharpen and maintain "V" cutting edges at 20 degrees for optimal sharpness. The simple, pull-through action makes it easy to sharpen knives, and the sharpener has a comfortable handle and non-slip base for a solid, stable hold. (Knife shown for scale - you're not getting that!)

Free: Auto-return golf putting machine (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted It kicks out a ball and you try to put it back. Endless fun for the golf enthusiast. Only thing is nobody in our house likes golf and we don’t have any clubs. But if you do and you have, this is for you!

Free: Assorted TI Electronics kits (West Chesterton, CB4) Gifted Most of these are microcontroller developer or experimenter boards. - You can think of them as basically like an Arduino but powered by either ARM or MSP430 rather than the Atmel micro of a traditional Arduino. They’re reasonably straightforward to learn about and use - just download the development software from and away you go. However, if you’ve no experience of electronics you’ll benefit from learning a little. But I reckon anyone can have a go and have a bit of a hack-around Two × EK-TM4C123GXL - ARM Cortex-M4F Based MCU TM4C123G LaunchPad™ Evaluation Kit Two × EK-LM4F120XL - / Evaluation platform for ARM Cortex-M4F-based microcontroller. One × MSP-EXP430FR5739 - Experimenters’ board. MSP430 based micro with fast but non-volatile ferroelectric RAM Some other MSP430-related kit (a parallel(!)-to-JTAG adapter, various programming headers. Finally, something quite different: One × THS3061EVM - Evaluation module for TI THS3061 high speed current feedback op-amp. To tell the truth, this is unlikely to me of much interest unless you already know what an op-amp is. And this one is a bit different to a normal (voltage feedback) op-amp anyway. Please let me know which one(s) you want to take. Happy to give all to one person or split it amongst several.
