Free: Bread maker - needs tin and paddle (Vale LA1) Kenwood BM450 bread machine. Worked well for us over several years but now needs a new tin and paddle. Stored in garage for a couple of years. Dent in the front but switches on and spins fine. The old tin started leaking around the spindle. Available online: you need the twist-and-click tin.

Free: Bike derailleurs and shifters (Vale LA1) Gifted Shimano Tourney 2x7 speed. Replaced on an old entry-level road bike. Were working as far as I could tell. Rubber covers on shifters are pretty worn.

Free: Wellies (Vale LA1) Gifted Green wellies. Size 44UK/10EU. Won't stand up on their own but no leaks as far as I know. I have a different pair so these aren't needed.

Free: Small stainless steel water bottles (Vale LA1) Gifted Klean Kanteen brand. 12oz/355mL (child-sized). No lids. Rather dented and scratched but should last forever with new lids which can be purchased online (screw, sports or sippy).

Free: Scooters (Vale LA1) Gifted Two 3style scooters. Rather battered and part of steering needs replacing on both but might be fixable. Parts available from for about £5.50. Alternatively might be useful for spares.

Free: Laptop/screen lock (Vale LA1) Gifted Kensington lock for computer equipment. Practically new. Most computers, screens etc have a slot for this type of lock. The cable attaches to the desk or table to prevent opportunistic theft.

Free: Linksys Network Storage Link (Vale LA1) Gifted Gadget that will make a USB hard drive or pen available as a network drive. Not WiFi. Requires an ethernet cable. Model is NSLU2. It's a good few years old. Untested but no reason it shouldn't work.

Free: Creative Extigy USB sound card (Vale LA1) Gifted Plug in to computer via USB cable (not supplied) and get lots of high quality audio inputs and outputs for connecting instruments or hifi equipment. Old piece of kit. Untested but assumed to work. No idea if it's compatible with modern operating systems.

Free: Buggy board (needs fixing) (Vale LA1) Expired Easy X Rider buggy board in need of repairs. Allows a toddler to ride behind a pram or push chair. Removable seat. It is not safe for use and needs fixing. The bolt that holds the optional seat in place is missing. The rods and springs that latch the board onto the pram axle are broken so you will need another way to make sure the board doesn't bounce off. Please say why you need this and confirm you will fix before use.

Free: Laptop bags (Vale LA1) Gifted Two laptop bags. Used but in decent shape. One will take a laptop that is 35x24x3cm (inner dimensions). The other is slightly bigger at 36x26x6cm.

Free: Bathroom light (Vale LA1) Gifted Dome bathroom light. Brand LumenAir. Max diameter: 370mm. Diameter on ceiling: 240mm. Takes two G9 bulbs, included. IP44 rated. It has a space between the light and ceiling where there used to be a 120mm extractor fan but it burnt out. You may be able to find a replacement or just use it as a light.

Free: Mitre saw and block (Vale LA1) Gifted 560mm. Blade almost new. Could use some oil or grease to make it run more smoothly.

Free: Draught excluders (Vale LA1) Expired Metal and rubber strips to screw around a door to stop draughts. Long pieces 1965 mm. Short piece 790 mm. Screws provided. Different profiles to fit the hinge side and the handle side.

Free: IKEA Komplement shoe rack (Vale LA1) Expired Two bars that fit in an IKEA wardrobe drawer and allow you to store shoes (I think - we've never used them). 43 cm long.

Free: Bike hooks (Vale LA1) Gifted Hook to hang a bike vertically from a wall. Two available. The rubber layer is coming off but could be repaired with a piece of inner tube or hose pipe.

Free: Vacuum cleaner (Vale LA1) Gifted Dyson DC19 T2. Over 10 years old. Still working but not as effective as it used to be. Large beater brush especially has lost its power and doesn't seem fixable. Compatible replacements are available online for around £30 (be careful to get exactly the right model - lots of similar Dysons with slightly different fittings). Loose connections or clogged HEPA filter may also be to blame for reduced suction but can also be replaced or fixed. The attachments and filter have been washed as best I can.

Free: Solar powered spot light for spares or repair (Vale LA1) Gifted Solar powered spot light. Has been fitted outside for 3-4 years. Was working until recently. Unfortunately the motion sensor lens has since been damaged and it's often been on during daylight despite adjusting the settings. The solar panel, LEDs and battery are presumably ok and could be used for other projects if repair isn't an option.

Free: Wide-mouth jam jars with lids (Vale LA1) Gifted We have too many of these jars. They work nicely as glasses and the lids are useful for keeping leftovers in the fridge (although you can't rely on them for an airtight seal). We'd prefer them to be reused than recycled if possible.

Free: Black plastic shelves (Vale LA1) Gifted 130cm high x 60cm x 30cm 130cm high x 72cm x 38cm Been used in garage then sitting outside for a month or two. Not suitable for heavy toolboxes as the shelves bow but should be fine for lighter loads.
