Unusual side table (Witton le Wear DL15)
Gifted
This was given to me some years ago by someone with a lot of money - it would have either come from abroad or from some posh shop. It’s a bit worse for wear now, but if like me you are more interested in function than looks, it’s a nice little table. It’s a bit discoloured in places on the top, and has some wear to the edges (see photos), and it definitely needs a good polish. It’s made of thin strips of something, could be bamboo or some type of wood. Measures 49cm (19.5”) tall by 35cm (13.75”) diameter at top and bottom (it’s not actually wonky, that’s just my bad photography) and narrows in the middle. It’s lightweight can be slid easily across a room, and it’s very stable. I can’t deliver so collection ONLY from near Witton le Wear (NOT Bitchburn as Freegle keeps insisting). And please don’t ask me if it’s still available - if it’s on here and not marked “promised” then it’s available. Thanks!

Quality Coffee Beans (North Bitchburn DL15)
Gifted
Long shot I know but, can anyone use a 250g pack of quality Peruvian coffee beans? I accidentally ordered beans instead of ground, have nothing to grind them with and I don’t want to waste good coffee. They are fresh, arrived last Thursday, opened same day and taped up immediately I realised they were beans. They’re from Rounton coffee roasters (the ones that the Foxes Tale cafe used to use), roasted in small batches and bought direct from the growers. They are decaf but you honestly wouldn’t know it from the taste (sorry, no good if you like a caffeine kick!) You would need to collect from near to Witton le Wear - I’m not able to deliver and would prefer not to post. Please be nice, and if it’s on here it’s available - no need to ask! Thanks!

Long Handled Weeding Tool (North Bitchburn DL15)
Gifted
This is called a “granpa’s weeder”, and it’s quite a clever thing that saves bending. You open the jaws, place the round the weed and then lean the handle to the side the lever’s on. This closes the jaws and pulls up the weed. It does work for small/annual weeds including baby dandelions. (It doesn’t work for anything deep rooted like mature dandelions or thistles though). Instructions are on the handle. Just the job for all those weed seedlings the rain’s brought up! Collection ONLY from near Witton le Wear (no idea why Freegle insists it’s Beechburn). If interested let me know when you would be able to collect - most days are okay but I could do with knowing an approximate time.

Plant pot holders (North Bitchburn DL15)
Gifted
These are pretty, pale grey, ceramic plant pot holders (sometimes known as “planters” apparently), for indoor plants. They fit up to a 14cm pot. No drainage holes and they don’t leak when you water the pot that’s inside. There are four of them and I’d prefer them all to go at the same time - could split if I have to though. It’s collect ONLY from near Witton le Wear (no idea why Freegle insists it’s Beechburn). If interested let me know when you would be able to collect - most days are okay but I could do with knowing an approximate time. * Last few offers were collected by lovely people, no fuss, no messing about, fingers crossed for the same this time! :-)

Smart Birds brand bird feeder, sold as rat proof but haven’t tested that out(!). It fills by lifting the lid up, and the unused food drops into the tray which is easily removed for cleaning. Large Pot For Pond (North Bitchburn DL15)
Gifted
And the big garden clear out continues…. This is a ”Pond in a Pot”, but just the pot, no plants. Brown plastic, measures 53cm diameter at the top, and is approx 30cm high. It doesn’t leak (the damp ground in the photo is because I emptied out some rainwater from the other day). Or you can drill a hole to make it into a planter. It needs a good scrub because my fountain stopped working so the water went green and gunky (so I advise using it with a solar fountain). COLLECTION ONLY from near Witton le Wear. If interested, please suggest a date and approximate time (am/pm) when you would like to collect. Don’t ask if it’s available - it would be marked promised or taken if it wasn’t.

Heat logs for firelighting (North Bitchburn DL15)
Gifted
Would anyone want to take approx half a bag of these “Roastie Toastie” heat logs off my hands? They’re smaller pieces intended for fire lighting, but you can use them in smaller fires and stoves as fuel. Bag is open, obviously, as I’ve used some of them, but they’ve been stored dry. It’s collection ONLY from Witton le Wear, and please be polite. I no longer respond to rudeness or those standard “are these still available” messages. Thanks.

Request:
Empty Flogas cylinder (North Bitchburn DL15)
Expired
Does anyone have an empty Flogas Propane cylinder, either 6kg or 11kg that they would like to part with please? I make wearable art using naturally dyed and leaf printed fabric and need to boil/steam it outside, but owing to it having rained solid for the past year(!) I haven’t been able to use my electric hob so I’m switching to gas that I can use in the covered area in my garden. I can arrange for it to be collected Crook / Bishop / Spennymoor area at your convenience. Thank you!
