Free: Broadband modem/router (Comiston EH10) TP-Link AC750 (Archer D2) wi-fi modem-router, from about 11 years ago, in full working order. - two wi-fi bands: 5GHz and 2.4GHz - built-in ADSL modem (for connecting to analogue phone lines) - 4 ethernet sockets - wireless access can be limited to specific devices if wished - USB socket, allowing connection of a printer or shared disc to local network - adjust a wide range of internal settings via any web browser - user manual available in PDF form - included : mains adaptor, phone connecting cable, phone/broadband splitter ("microfilter"), ethernet cable, quick-start documentation, CD If you already have a router for your broadband, whether via a traditional phone line or a "full fibre" from a box on the wall, then you already have a working router. The router here can act as a possible replacement or spare for that existing router (for either of those forms of broadband). Alternatively, this router can be connected by cable to the existing router in order to provide an additional wi-fi outlet, as a way of extending the range of wi-fi within your home.

Free: Curtains, 2 pairs (Comiston EH10) Gifted Two pairs of more or less identical curtains, much used. They are in the same colour (a pale cream/beige) and design (plain apart from an embroidered recurring geometric image), unlined and fairly lightweight. Each of the four curtains is about 165cm wide and has a height (drop) of about 145cm. The top is taped for what I believe is "pencil pleat" use, so it needs plastic hooks to fit into it.

Free: Chargers (Comiston EH10) Expired Two mains-pluggable Sony chargers, with USB-A sockets for connecting leads (not included). Very lightweight. Both have an output voltage of 5V, but they have low output currents, so will not provide fast charging -- one is 1.5A, the other is 0.85A.

Light enough for one person to carry. Many spatters of paint and scratches from over thirty years of use (no longer required in a flat with ceilings at 230cm).

Free: Landline phone handset (Comiston EH10) Expired BT Duet basic receiver & rest for a traditional landline phone. It requires no mains electricity, simply plugging into the wall socket (as all phones used to do in the old days), so it's handy to have around in case of a power cut, in spite of its limited range of features. Connecting cable included. The rest can be wall-mounted (screws not included).

Free: Small (and old) laptop (Comiston EH10) Gifted Acer Aspire One "netbook", from 2008. Originally a miniature laptop running Windows XP, suitable for use when travelling, this computer still functions, but has certain limitations (see below). Size: 25cm x 17cm x 3cm. Weight: about 1 Kg RAM : 1 GB Disc storage: 14 GB Processor: Intel Atom, 1.6GHz WARNING: (1). The battery pack is completely dead, so the netbook has to be connected to the mains in order to operate. (2). The very limited processor, memory and disc space (see above) means that the computer cannot do anything very ambitious, but is fine for web browsing, reading email, etc. (3). The machine could not possibly support Windows 10 or 11. The operating system currently installed is a recent version of MX-Linux, a lightweight system derived from Debian GNU/Linux. Although this is a stable, up-to-date and flexible operating system with a very wide range of useful programs pre-installed, it will be unfamiliar to most people.

Free: In-drawer cutlery tray (Comiston EH10) Gifted A moulded plastic tray with separate sections for holding cutlery (or tools, or any small objects). It is intended to fit into a drawer, typically in a kitchen. The outer dimensions are 516mm x 462mm, so it might suit a drawer about 500mm wide. The small plastic bits are separators which can be wedged across the recessed areas to subdivide these longer sections into shorter areas as required.
