Small disused quarry for nature reserve (Bilton HG1) Searching for a small disused quarry, to develop into a nature reserve. No soil is ideal for tiny flowers, deep soil for shrubs, trees and birds and wet areas for frogs, toads and newts. Preferably west of Harrogate and not close to houses or roads.

Demolition - decking - floorboards (Bilton HG1) Expired Know of any demolitions taking place, where decking boards or floorboards are being thrown away? Those are desperately needed for a flat roof, which will be covered in a pond liner. They can be used if in poor condition, as long as they are not crumbling with extensive rot. Any rotting parts can be cut out. Thanks to all for the help provided thus far.

Decking board - just one or more! (Bilton HG1) Expired If you have a spare decking board, cluttering your garden or garage, I'd welcome it. If you have more than one, that would be brilliant. Floorboards or anything similar would be equally useful. Needed for boarding out a roof space, to create a storage area. If you are removing old decking, I might be able to salvage some of it. To minimise petrol consumption and my environmental impact, collection in or near Harrogate or Knaresborough would be preferable.

Christmas decorations (Bilton HG1) Gifted About 30 baubles , Christmas tree lights which plug into mains electricity and other items. No photo as no camera. Collect from Bilton area HG1.

Corrugated plastic roofing offcuts (Bilton HG1) Expired Pieces needs to make temporary repairs, to part of a carport roof, in order to keep firewood logs dry. Corrugations are 3 inches apart.

Floor boards, fencing rails, decking etc (Bilton HG1) Expired URGENT. Pieces of wood needed for surfacing a flat roof. Any sections of rot will be cut out. Please let me know if you know of any places where such materials are being removed and likely to be wasted. I'm keen to avoid buying new boarding which may have come from rainforests etc..

Bathroom cabinet (Bilton HG1) Expired Pine, two doors each with a mirror, 22 inches wide, 18 inches high, 5 inches deep. No camera so no photo'..

Boarding For Large Flat Roof And/Or Tin Sheeting (Scriven HG5) Expired Plywood sheets and/or old floor boards urgently needed. Know anywhere close to Harrogate and Knaresborough being demolished? I've just discovered good quality large tin sheets from garages were cut up to get rid of them - they would have covered the large flat roof which I must urgently repair. I refuse to buy plywood sheets, which seem to have wood from rainforests. However, I will use recycled ones, to prevent them ending up as landfill. Sheets made from recycled plastic are expensive. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Internal doors - ideally light weight with flat surfaces (Bilton HG1) Expired I'd welcome old internal doors, with flat and smooth hardboard or plywood surfaces. Handles and hinges would be removed. The doors will be placed over thick slabs of expanded polystyrene in a roof space. The slabs are supported underneath but if anyone walks on them, large pieces would break off around the edges. The doors will spread the weight of feet, like wearing large snow shoes. Collections from HG1 and HG2 areas preferred, for environmental reasons and minimise petrol consumption.
