Free: Toy Nerf Gun 'Elite Disruptor' and Toy XC Gun (Pannal HG2) Gifted Kids will have lots of fun with these toy guns - hopefully firing at targets rather than each other! Both guns have been used but are still in good condition and work fine. 1. Load the soft bullets into the barrel. 2. Pull back the 'Elite' compartment for the Nerf gun, or the ring-pull for the XC gun, until it clicks. 3. Then pull the trigger. Both come with a bag of soft bullets.

Free: Indoor plastic trug / basket great for toy storage (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a nice light-blue trug in great condition. It's approximately 45 cm in diameter (at the top) and 35 cm high. It's great for storage e.g. to keep toys tidy. (Note that this trug is not really designed for outdoor use or gardening - it might go brittle and crack if left outside permanently.)

They are mostly animals (e.g. panda, turtle, monkey) but, bizarrely, there's also a hamburger! Good for young kids practicing their fine-motor skills. *** Please note of course that small pieces can be a choking hazard so obviously don't give them to very young children who just want to shove them in their mouths. ***

Free: Canon FS10 - Digital Video Camcorder (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a compact video camcorder from the days just before smartphones with video-recording took off! (So around 2010.) Despite its vintage, it might still be handy for budding film-makers. It's in very good condition as it's been kept in its original box since about 2011. It records standard definition (SD) video and uses a built-in condenser microphone. It records onto an internal memory (8 GB), but an SD-card can be inserted to increase the capacity. There's a flap-out video panel in which you can review your recordings, or they can be downloaded to a computer via the included USB cable. In giving it a quick test, the only issue I found was that the battery pack doesn't seem to want to charge. So I had to keep the power cable plugged in. Depending on your application, that might be fine (e.g. if you set it up in a fixed position, trained on your bird-table or something). Alternatively, you might be able to get a replacement battery pack from Canon. There is a full manual included.

Free: Handling/Feeding Mats for Small Pets (Pannal HG2) Gifted These 2 washable mats (which contain a waterproof lining inside) are great for handling small pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits etc. You pop the mat onto your lap, and then rest the pet on the mat while you handle it. Any 'accidents' will then be safely absorbed by the mat rather than your lovely trousers :-) The mats also provide a nice snug surface for your pet to relax on. Each mat measures approximately 36cm x 36 cm. The mats have been used in the past but are in good condition and have been thoroughly washed. So they're ready for a new home.

Free: Wicker hamper case (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a small-ish wicker hamper case measuring approximately 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm. It has two leather-style buckle fastenings and a handle on the front. Handy for storage - or if you fill it with goodies, it could be a lovely Christmas present perhaps.

Free: 'Xeno' - Interactive Toy Monster (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is an interactive electronic toy from a few years back. It's aimed at ages 5+. I've given it a quick test and it seems to be working fine with the included (but old) batteries. Below is the blurb from the internet for more details. Instruction leaflet included. Hopefully it'll provide a bit of fun for someone. ----------- Xeno is a loveable, yet cheeky, baby monster who really interacts and plays with you! He has over 10 real emotions, including happy, sad, hungry, unwell and playful. With more than 40 eye expressions on his cool LCD based graphic eyes, you can truly understand him! He also talks to you, asking if you "wanna play?" or simply telling you "I'm hungry". Xeno is the little baby monster who needs your love and attention and doesn’t like loud noises. Free: SONY MiniDisc Recorder/Player - MDS-JE520 (Pannal HG2) Gifted For any recording enthusiasts out there, this is a digital MiniDisc recorder from about 1999. It comes with: - Analog (RCA) and Digital (Co-ax and optical SPDIF) inputs/outputs. - Headphones socket (6.35 mm). - A box of about 80 MiniDiscs - 8 of which are blank and still wrapped in cellophane. - For the other ~70 discs, you're unlikely to enjoy my selection of (mostly rock) music, but the great thing about MiniDiscs is that you can record over them! - User manual - Remote control - Spare RCA cable for connection to an amplifier If you're young, you won't care about any of this because you'll just trust the big corporations and will happily stream all your music from them without worrying about their ability to lock you out, or monitor your music-listening habits! However, if you're of a certain vintage and store your music collection on good old CDs (or even vinyl) then this device could be useful as a means of recording compilations or extracting highlights e.g. taking the best 3 minutes of a 6-minute song (the one with that awful self-indulgent drum solo at the end). The recorder works fine (I've just been using it to transfer a load of old recordings to MP3, which is why I no longer need it), but there are a few provisos: 1. Be gentle with the slot where you insert the MiniDisc otherwise it's easy to get a disc jammed. 2. The AMS knob on the front has a poor contact and doesn't always register when you turn it, so it may skip tracks when you're trying to locate a particular song. However, you can use the remote control for choosing songs, which works very well. 3. The manual is actually for a slightly earlier version (the MDS-JE500) so it's not 100% accurate, but most of it is fine. You can find a version for the JE520 online if you need it. I hope someone can make use of this, otherwise it's going up to the recycling centre! If you'd like it, please let me know your plans for it.

Free: Basketball hoop with net, pole, base and ball (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a metal basketball pole/hoop with a plastic base that can be filled with water (or sand) to weigh it down. The height of the hoop can be adjusted, so it should be fine for kids or teens (but perhaps a bit easy for adults). It used to have a (plastic) back-board which perished over time. But if you're handy with tools it would be fairly straightforward to make a new one (e.g. out of marine plywood) and sandwich it between the hoop and the bracket, holding it in place with the 4 bolts shown in the photo. (You might need longer bolts though.) Alternatively, use it against a suitable wall if you need something to bounce off. You can have the basketball as well. And I'll throw in an allen key for adjusting the height. As you can see, it's a few years old so there's a bit of rust and wear, but it works fine and should provide some entertainment over the summer. I've dismantled it into 4 pieces for transport.

Free: Korg NS5R Sound Module (MIDI) (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a half-width Korg sound module from the late 1990s. It's got hundreds of sounds, many of which sound great. You'll need a MIDI music keyboard to trigger the sounds, and an amplifier to hear the results. The audio outputs are two 1/4" sockets - the size that fits an electric guitar lead. Comes with a power lead, MIDI cable (for connecting to a music keyboard) and the original manual. Would be ideal for a keyboard wizard who wants to play with some retro sounds.

Free: Virtuoso 2000 Sound Module (MIDI) (Pannal HG2) Gifted This is a high quality sound module from the early 2000's. It's full of orchestral (and other) sounds, some of which are very realistic. You'll need a MIDI music keyboard to trigger the sounds, and an amplifier to hear the results. The audio outputs are two 1/4" sockets - the size that fits an electric guitar lead. (There is also an SPDIF digital output, but I found it very quiet.) Comes with a power lead, MIDI cable (for connecting to a music keyboard) and the original manual. Would be ideal for a keyboard wizard who wants to experiment with some rich orchestral textures.
