Free: Cuisinart DLC-7 Super Pro (near Huron and Garden, Camb.) Gifted More than a decade old, this Cuisinart DLC-7 is in working order. The base unit does its work as powerfully as it has from day one. Comes with seven blades (some duplicates). There is one issue with the set. We made the error of trying to grind cinnamon sticks in it. Don't ever do that! It destroyed the bowl. Shopped for a genuine Cuisinart replacement. However, the new bowl didn't fit exactly. It takes two of us to get it to lock in correctly. Once it is locked in, this entire unit works just fine. When it comes to cleaning up -- it takes two of us to get the bowl unlocked. Damn! But maybe you are handy with plastic bowls or don't mind pounding the bowl with the palm of your hand to get it into place. If you happen to have a DLC-7 with a broken base unit, this will do you right away. And you get extra blades. If you already have a Cuisinart, you can use this as a ready parts source. Anyway, let me know if you want the set.

Gifted The Janome 4623LE Plus (Limited Edition) is a durable sewing machine known for its strong motor, aluminum alloy body, and valuable features like a top-loading bobbin, 24 built-in stitches, one-step buttonhole, and adjustable settings for length/width, making it great for basic to intermediate sewing, quilting, and clothing construction, often praised for its reliability and ability to handle various fabrics. This unit is in good overall condition. Not heavily used. The bobbin holder needs some cleaning and minor maintenance attention.

Free: Microwave - GE Space Saver (Gray Gardens East, Cambridge) Gifted The GE Spacesaver Microwave is ideal for a shelf or counter where depth is an issue with larger microwaves. It is in good working order. It is nearly 15 years old and is losing some of its heating power. Still does the job, takes about 10-20% longer than when it was newer. It turns out that as microwaves age, the output of the magnetron, which produces the microwaves, slowly declines. This unit may last another year or two. Perfect if you're in town for a year or so, don't run a microwave all the time, and want to save some money (it's free). Let me know what day and time you'd like to pick it up, and I'll put it out by the street for you.

Free: 20-inch business-grade monitor (near Huron and Garden, Camb.) Gifted Get yourself a second monitor for your laptop or desktop. If you don't already have one, you will be glad you did. This Planar PE2010 20-inch business-grade monitor (60 MHz, 1400 x 1050) is in excellent operating condition. It supports VGA and DVI cable connections to your computer. A DVI cable is included. It is mounted on a heavy-duty stand that easily adjusts up and down, swivels, and pivots—strong and heavy enough to support a 27-inch or larger monitor. I have used this monitor for years without a single complaint. I have moved on to a larger monitor.

Free: Hearing Aid Batteries #13 (near Huron and Garden, Camb.) Expired Come on, folks. I'm asking for your help in getting hearing aid batteries to someone you likely know who can use them. The package is worth at least $40 to someone with a hearing aid. It will also save a little piece of the planet that won't be mined for battery raw materials. Although batteries are used in many applications (and are essential for hearing aids), their manufacture is also environmentally destructive. This free package includes 55 (size 13) hearing aid batteries (almost a year's worth), which originally cost $30. Also included are three Phonak wax guard packs of eight guards each (costing a user $10-15). Please think of a friend or relative who uses a hearing aid and tell them about these free batteries and wax guards. That gesture will help them and our environment.
