MaxMatic 3000 Undersink Waste Grinder unit (Ravelston EH4)

This unit is several years old, but has had little use, is built to last a lifetime and mechanically in good condition.

It went out of alignment some time ago, so the Magnetic Plug which should switch it on and off when rotated to the correct position no longer activates it.

MaxMatic think it is simply out of alignment and have sent some photos (attached) to help re-align it, but it's possible that something (the Magnitube or possibly a circuit board|?) needs to be replaced in the control box (pic attached).

There is no longer a Maxmatic Service Engineer in the area, so I have given up on re-aligning it, which is why it's available here. As far as I can tell, the magnetic plug which switches it on and off still works, but the black paint on it has peeled off in the lower parts which doesn't affect the visible part which looks fine. A new chrome-plated plug is available from MaxMatic if you want a smarter look.
